Job Title: Manager, US Licensing and Permits Shift: Night Shift Job Summary: The Manager of US Licensing and Permits will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of licensing and permit compliance across our convenience stores and gas stations. This role involves handling various regulatory requirements, ensuring timely renewal of licenses and permits, and staying up-to-date with changes in legislation that affect our business. The successful candidate will work primarily during the night shift, aligning with our operational needs and providing support to our team across different time zones. Key Responsibilities: Compliance Management: Ensure all convenience stores and gas stations operate with valid licenses and permits, including but not limited to business licenses, liquor licenses, tobacco permits, and environmental permits. Regulatory Liaison: Act as the primary point of contact with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies, addressing any compliance issues or concerns. License and Permit Renewal: Monitor expiration dates and manage the renewal process for all necessary licenses and permits to prevent any operational disruptions. Documentation and Record-Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all licenses, permits, and regulatory correspondence. Prepare and submit reports as required. Legislative Updates: Stay informed about changes in laws and regulations related to convenience stores and gas stations, and implement necessary changes to ensure ongoing compliance. Team Support: Provide support to store managers and other staff regarding licensing and permit-related issues. Offer training and guidance as needed. Problem Resolution: Address and resolve any issues related to licensing and permits promptly and efficiently. Qualifications: Experience: Minimum of 5 years of experience in a compliance, regulatory, or permit management role, preferably within the convenience store or gas station industry. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Legal Studies, or a related field. Advanced certifications in regulatory compliance are a plus. Skills: Strong understanding of licensing and permit regulations for convenience stores and gas stations. Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively during the night shift. Proficient in using office software and compliance management tools. Detail-oriented with strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Applicants must be comfortable working nights.
