At this year's Global AI Summit (GAIN), policymakers, AI experts, and tech innovators came together to discuss the future of AI governance and its role in solving global challenges. During one of the panels, Member of the UN Secretary General's Advisory Body on AI and DRF's Executive Director Nighat Dad underscored the importance of consulting all stakeholders for any AI governance initiative, especially civil society. AI policies must also be grounded in a rights-based framework, she said.

On #NationalMinoritiesDay2024, we want to emphasize the need for countering online misinformation faced by our religious minority community. Fake news and harmful content disproportionately impact minorities, but through education and strong legal frameworks, we can create a safer digital space for all.
