What is NSTP? The National Science & Technology Park (NSTP) stands as Pakistan's premier fully integrated hub for science and technology, inaugurated in 2019 under the auspices of the Prime Minister. This groundbreaking initiative aims to invigorate and enhance Pakistan's knowledge economy by sustaining innovation and facilitating the growth of high-tech enterprises. With an investment exceeding PKR 8 billion, the project targets eight key verticals. Since its inception, NSTP has made significant contributions to Pakistan's knowledge economy, generating over 6000 high-tech jobs and facilitating substantial investments in research and development by resident firms. In 2021, the Prime Minister granted NSTP Special Economic Zone (SEZ) status, benefiting 25 companies and injecting over $20 million into the local economy. R&D is the core of NSTP's mission, attracting globally acclaimed organizations such as ABB, Hytera, Rapidev, Hitit, HATO Agricultural Lighting, Rapid Silicon, and Turkish Aerospace. These tenants have established state-of-the-art labs at NUST. NSTP's Hatch8 program has graduated numerous cohorts, resulting in the emergence of startups like Vyro. The program has secured international acclaim, extending its reach to the UAE (Badiri) to support female founders. Committed to making a tangible difference in the community, NSTP has initiated startup programs in Pakistan, partnering with the U.S. Embassy and UNHCR to empower marginalized communities. NSTP startups continue to attract considerable attention from global investors, securing funding from esteemed venture capital firms such as Tokopedia, DG Daiwa Ventures - GP of DG Lab Fund, Mantis VC, HOF Capital, Palm Drive Capital, Atlas Ventures, and Boost VC. The park hosts Zayn VC as a resident Venture Capitalist, aimed at enhancing the investment landscape at NUST and the country. This strategic partnership underscores NSTP's commitment to harnessing its technological prowess and enhancing entrepreneurial growth. #NSTP #InnovationPowerHouseOfPakistan
