According to Jehan Ara, former President of the Pakistan Software Houses Association (P@SHA), the representation of women in the IT industry has grown to 22% from just 12% over the past five years. While this progress is encouraging, there remains a significant need to further bridge the gender gap in this field. In response to this challenge, SEED Ventures is making a tangible impact through its Imarah programme. We have recently launched the second cohort of our IT Skill Development course, specifically designed for the women of Karachi's Mehran Town. By equipping them with essential IT skills, Imarah empowers these women to become future leaders in the industry, advancing gender diversity and fostering a more equitable IT landscape.
