World Mental Health Day is an international day for global mental health education, awareness and advocacy against social stigma to support those experiencing mental health issues. The above mentioned publication highlights the "use of mental health app that could help prevent depression in young people at high risk". It signifies the effective and scalable ways of preventing poor mental health and digital tools such as mobile apps have been proposed as part of the solution. The abstract by Eisha Waqar, Vice President Research Interest Group - Internal Medicine (RIG-IM), and Ayesha Liaquat, President SoMR, won the 'Poster of Distinction' Award whereas Sonia Harjkaliani, Director Public Relations, and Syeda Shahnoor, Vice President Internals, successfully presented their abstracts which were selected for poster presentations.
