About us

The Federal Urdu University of Arts, Sciences & Technology enjoys the unique distinction of being the first-ever university in Pakistan, which ultimately aims at using Urdu as the primary language of instruction and teaching… The University was established on 13th November 2002 under Ordinance No. CXIX of 2002 was promulgated by the President of Pakistan. As per the provision of this ordinance, the university has its principal seat in Islamabad. The university started functioning in November 2002 by taking over two federal government colleges namely Federal Urdu Science College, Karachi which was established in 1949 by Baba-e-Urdu Dr. Abdul Haq. Whose mission was only to promote Urdu as teaching and also for Urdu language as the national language. He remains struggling till his last moment of life. Federal Urdu University of Arts, Science & Technology has two campuses in Karachi, and one campus in Islamabad. There are more than 12,000 students in Islamabad and Karachi campuses and 450 faculty members in Islamabad and Karachi campuses. This university consists of three campuses: Abdul Haq Campus Gulshan Campus Islamabad Campus President of Pakistan is the first Chancellor and Dr. Prof. Peerzada Qasim was the first Vice Chancellor of this University. Due to its Federal existence, the University is centred in Islamabad and it can establish campuses in any province of Pakistan.

    *سائبر سیکیورٹی پر سیمینار کا انعقاد* شعبہ کمپیوٹر سائنس ، وفاقی جامعہ اردو کے زیر اہتمام طلبہ اور طالبات میں سائبر سیکیورٹی سے متعلق شعور اجاگر کرنے کے لیے ایک آگاہی سیمینار گلشن کیمپس میں عبد القدیرخان آڈیٹوریم میں منعقد کیا گیا۔ سیمینار میں طلبہ اور اساتذہ نے بھرپور شرکت کی، جبکہ معزز مہمانوں میں ڈاکٹر کاشف لئیق، ڈاکٹر شبر رضا ڈائرکٹر QEC، اور ڈاکٹر شاہین عباس (چیئرپرسن شعبہ ریاضیاتی علوم) شامل تھے۔شعبہ کمپیوٹر سائنس کے چیئرمین ڈاکٹر اختر رضا نے اپنے خیالات کا اظہار کچھ اس طرح کیا کہ طلبہ اور طالبات کو چاہئکہ تعلیم کے ساتھ ساتھ تربیت پر بھی توجہ دیں اور آئی ٹی کے میدان میں کسی ایک راہ میں اپنے اپ کو ماہر بنائیں چاہے سائبر سکیورٹی ہو ڈیٹا سائنس ہو نیٹ ورکنگ ہو یا ویب/ ایپ ڈیویلپمنٹ ہو چونکہ مارکیٹ میں ماہر طلباء اور طالبات کی شدید ضرورت ہے۔ مقرر جناب عبداللہ شہباز نے سائبرسیکیورٹی کی اہمیت پر روشنی ڈالتے ہوئے کہا کہ یہ ایک تیزی سے ترقی کرتا ہوا شعبہ ہے، جہاں ڈیجیٹل سسٹمز اور ڈیٹا کو سائبر حملوں سے محفوظ رکھنا بنیادی ہدف ہے۔ابراہیم ملک نے آن لائن شناخت اور ڈیٹا سیکیورٹی کی اہمیت کو اجاگر کرتے ہوئے کہا کہ آج کے ڈیجیٹل دور میں ہمارا آن لائن ریکارڈ ہماری پرائیویسی اور سیکیورٹی پر گہرا اثر ڈالتا ہے۔ انہوں نے خبردار کیا کہ غیر محفوظ ڈیجیٹل عادات شناخت کی چوری، سائبر حملوں اور رازداری کی خلاف ورزی کا باعث بن سکتی ہیں۔ انہوں نے مشورہ دیا کہ مضبوط خفیہ کوڈ، دوہری تصدیق کے طریقے، اور محفوظ نیٹ ورک کے استعمال کے ساتھ ساتھ سوشل میڈیا کی پرائیویسی سیٹنگز کو بہتر بنا کر اپنی معلومات کو محفوظ رکھا جا سکتا ہے۔محمد عمار نے سیمینار کو سائبر سیکیورٹی کے تعارف کا ایک بہترین موقع قرار دیتے ہوئے کہا کہ طلبہ کو اس شعبے میں آگے بڑھنے کے لیے روزانہ کم از کم 2 گھنٹے مطالعہ، منظم روڈ میپ پر عمل، بین الاقوامی سرٹیفیکیشنز کے حصول، اور انفارمیشن سیکیورٹی کے دیگر پہلوؤں کی کھوج کرنی چاہیے۔
