    We recently wrapped up an incredible week at the first face-to-face Procter & Gamble Asia Pacific, Middle East and Africa #WeSeeEqual 2024 Summit in #Thailand, which showcased our region's diverse cultures and unwavering commitment to #Equality and #Inclusion (E&I). Our #RippleMakers, including leaders from around the world and renowned names like James Clear and celebrity artiste Milck shared insights that truly resonated. Their talks, combined with the hard work of our champions, have ignited a buzz of ideas and inspiration propelling us towards a fairer future. This summit was an opportunity to break old habits, challenge biases, and forge a brighter tomorrow. We didn't just learn; we connected. Conversations opened minds, stories strengthened us, and bridges were built across borders and cultures. In those connections lies the true beauty of diversity and the power of togetherness. As we bid farewell to this year's summit, let's reflect on our objectives. We've emphasized the undeniable link between E&I and organizational success, recognizing that diversity is both a moral imperative and a strategic business driver. We've also explored the transformative power of small actions, knowing that meaningful change starts with seemingly minor interventions that yield lasting impact when multiplied.     We are pleased to announce the appointment of Ovais Yousuf as P&G Pakistan's new Chief Executive Officer. Ovais is an experienced business leader who has worked with P&G for close to 16 years in various roles across Asia, Middle East, Europe and Africa. Most recently, Ovais was Commercial Leader, based out of Karachi, overseeing the successful launch of Baby & Fem Care Startup Project and Fabric Care in Pakistan. Ovais Yousuf succeeds Adil Farhat, P&G Pakistan’s former CEO, who will remain with the Company and relocate to Jeddah as Senior Vice President and CEO for P&G Saudi Arabia.

    At P&G, Supplier Diversity is a business strategy aimed at fostering growth and development of certified women-owned and led businesses (WOBs). In line with this, P&G Pakistan recently hosted the fourth edition of its Supplier Diversity Academy, which for the first time, was in partnership with one of Pakistan's biggest conglomerates, Engro Corp. The program, spread over the course of three days, delved into critical topics facilitated by internal and external trainers and speakers in the industry. To enhance the learning experience of the participants, access was provided to subject matter experts from prestigious organizations including PwC, Tangent, Entravision, Starcom, acclaimed comedian Faiza Saleem, as well as governmental bodies such as SECP and the State Bank of Pakistan. A highlight of the program was the Vendor Quest pitch competition, providing participants with a platform to showcase their innovative ideas and entrepreneurial drive to a jury comprising P&G and Engro Fertilizers leadership, alongside CEOs from TCS and Katalyst Labs. In addition to the pitch competition, a panel discussion was organized featuring exceptional women-owned businesses, including Jehan Ara (Katalyst Labs), Nadia Patel Gangjee (Fempro), Sumreen Faisal (Wrap & Roll), and Aiman Sami (Womenza Pakistan), who have made ace contributions to the industry. Their stories of resilience, perseverance, and success serve as a testament to the potency of diversity and inclusion in propelling innovation and growth. We extend congratulations to all the trainees who showcased resilience, a thirst for knowledge, and the determination to succeed. Through the Supplier Diversity Academy, we endeavor to expedite the mutual growth of our business and our partners, positioning us as a #ForceForGood and #ForceForGrowth in the communities where we operate.     In acknowledgment of its efforts in promoting women empowerment and fostering a diverse and fair workplace environment, P&G Pakistan today was awarded with the prestigious 'Champion of 2023' title at the 6th annual OICCI Women Empowerment Awards hosted by the Overseas Investors Chamber of Commerce and Industry (OICCI). Adil Farhat, Chief Executive Officer, P&G Pakistan received the award along with his team Ovais Yousuf, Najia Amin, Shafia Naseer, Rahat Mirza and Xenia Rasul. Promoting gender equality and diversity has been a long-standing mission of P&G Pakistan. The company has been actively working to raise their voice to tackle gender bias, remove barriers to education for girls, create economic opportunities for women through corporate and brand programs, and policy advocacy, achieve an inclusive, gender-equal environment within P&G, while also advocating for gender and intersectional equality in workplaces everywhere so that everyone can contribute to their full potential.
