🌍 Exploring the Future of HR: "How Will We Manage" Seminar in Gdynia! On 25 October the BPCC and LSEG (London Stock Exchange Group), alongside partners, hosted the "How Will We Manage" seminar in Gdynia. This half-day event brought together experts from business, academia, recruitment, and law to examine trends and best practices in HR management, with a special focus on the innovative approaches taken by LSEG, one of Gdynia's largest private-sector employers. 🚀 The event was opened by #Gdynia’s Deputy Mayor, Bartłomiej Austen, followed by LSEG’s Michał Rudnicki and Dominika Rolbiecka, who introduced the "Open Makes More Possible" philosophy, highlighting servant leadership and employee engagement. They shared insights on how LSEG’s inclusive, multicultural environment – with employees from 60 countries speaking 48 languages – leads to high retention and engagement through HR strategies that are new to Poland's HR landscape. The first panel, "Superhero – Attributes of Tomorrow's Manager", featured Agnieszka Bukowska (Bank BPH - GE Aerospace), Agata Witczak (LSEG), and Magdalena Białek (Hays), moderated by BPCC’s Michal Dembinski. They tackled today’s most pressing challenges: generational gaps and the impact of Poland’s changing demographics on talent retention, as well as the emerging "silver" labor market. They agreed that building resilience in teams is crucial as organizations face the complexities of compliance and shifting workforce expectations. 📈 Judyta Banaszyńska of PwC Legal Polska presented Poland’s approach to implementing the EU Whistleblower Directive, explaining what companies must do to comply and the consequences of non-compliance. Will AI reshape or support the labor market? Katarzyna Szumigaj - Rudnik (Grupa Oryx) and Bozena Roczniak, PhD (she/her) (OstendiHR) concluded that while AI will change jobs, it will also create new opportunities. They pointed to a future where tasks might even be “certified as no AI involved,” akin to organic certifications in food. This AI discussion continued in a second panel on recruitment, with Ewa Carr-de Avelon(Coventry University Wrocław), Bartosz Tomanek (PCS Paruch Chruściel Schiffter Stępień Kanclerz | Littler Paruch), and Łukasz Chodkowski (Déhora Polska). They explored how recruitment can balance subjective instincts with objective data, emphasising the importance of transparency and privacy in AI-driven assessments. A four-day work week also featured in the discussions. Łukasz Chodkowski predicted a global shift toward longer weekends within the decade.
