MentorLink: A Free Mentoring Platform for Refugees and Migrants We’re thrilled to announce our partnership with Railwaymen, thanks to the incredible support from Tech To The Rescue Foundation! They will be assisting us pro-bono with our project, MentorLink: A Free Mentoring Platform for Refugees and Migrants 🚀 Scope: Our project focuses on developing an inclusive educational platform tailored for refugees and immigrants, providing them with access to high-quality IT learning resources and opportunities. Goal: We aim to empower these communities by facilitating skill development, fostering a supportive network, and enhancing their prospects in the IT field—all while ensuring free access to vital knowledge. Impact: This initiative has the potential to transform the lives of refugees and immigrants by enabling them to acquire valuable IT skills, boost their employability, and pursue rewarding careers in technology. As the first global educational platform specifically designed for these communities, we hope to reach over a million users in the next five years, setting a new standard for inclusive education in the tech sector. This impactful collaboration was made possible by Tech To The Rescue Foundation, a global organization dedicated to connecting nonprofits with tech companies for projects that drive social change. It’s Happened: Launching Our Digital Workshops Yesterday, we had the opening day of our digital workshops. Many of our participants joined this event, giving them the opportunity to learn more about our plans and network with each other. As a positive symbol, we started the first day of our workshops with great food and a special cake to energize our participants and future digital talents. We are so grateful to our partner, UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, for supporting us in realizing this project and for joining us yesterday. We are excited to begin this journey with our learners.
