What to do if you get stuck at a railway crossing? Imagine you're driving a truck. It’s just another road, and up ahead, there’s a railway crossing. The lights aren’t flashing, the barriers are up – so you keep going. But suddenly, halfway across the tracks, something happens. ☑️The barriers start to lower. ☑️Your engine stalls. ☑️In the mirror, you see the headlights of an approaching train.   Your heart is pounding. You have only seconds to decide. What do you do? At Galan Logistics, we care about your safety, and that’s why we want to remind you:
DON’T WAIT! DON’T PANIC! Break through the barrier and leave the crossing immediately. Railway barriers are designed to break under pressure – they have a special safety mechanism that snaps with minimal force. Your vehicle won’t be damaged, but your life may depend on this decision. How to act in such a situation? ▪️Stay in the cabin – every second matters. ▪️Slowly drive through the barrier – don’t hesitate, it’s designed for this. ▪️After breaking the barrier, stop in a safe place and report the incident by calling 112 (each crossing has an identification number on a yellow sticker on the barrier).   Anyone can find themselves in this situation. But it’s your reaction that determines the outcome. Life is more valuable than a barrier.   Why is this so important? ➡️ Railway crossings are high-risk areas. Statistics show that the most common causes of accidents are ignoring warning signals and entering the tracks while the barriers are closing. That’s why it’s crucial for drivers to know how to react in a critical moment.   We act responsibly. We transport safely. We are with you every mile of the journey.
