Genomtec is a MedTech company specializing in the development of advanced technologies in the field of genetic diagnostics. The company's flagship project is the Genomtec ID mobile diagnostic system, which allows for fast and precise molecular analysis outside the laboratory environment without the need to involve qualified laboratory personnel. The company has EU CE-IVD certification for the Genomtec ID RP5-PLEX diagnostic panel, which simultaneously detects the presence of the most common respiratory tract infections. The solution uses microfluidic technology and proprietary patented SNAAT® isothermal technology. Genomtec's second project in oncology, "OncoSNAAT," consists of developing technology and a new automated system for mutation detection in the field of clinical oncology. Our post regarding improved assays for influenza detection raised questions regarding time to result for samples collected from symptomatic adult patients. In such cases viral load can go as high as 4,37*10^9 RNA copies/ml of sample or, in other words, over four billion copies per ml of sample. With higher viral load our tests are even faster – delivering results in less than 5 minutes. #GenomtecID #Genomtec #

With the rapidly growing expectations for comprehensive (multiplexed) genetic testing, there is a need to deliver highest accuracy of test results. What is Genomtec's answer to that challange? Our SNAAT technology based on patented photonic heating system. This approach allows amplification to be performed always in the desired temperature for each of tested assays. Benefits: No unspecific amplification. Shorter TTR compared to single temperature NAAT. Ability to detect multiple targets without sacrificing diagnostic accuracy. No thermal block – low thermal capacity – close to unlimited ramping rates. Data confirms those statements. With optimal temperature time to result for our multiplex NAAT assays can be reduced by around 40-50% compared to single temperature amplification.

Czy inwestorzy na Warsaw Stock Exchange (GPW) zmienią nastawienie do krajowego sektora biotechnologicznego? Aby sektor szeroko rozumianego bio- i medtech-u wyrwał się z hibernacji w jaka zapadł kilka lat temu, potrzeba jest koniunkcja 3 czynników – poprawa sentymentu do sektora w skali globalnej, czyli de facto notowań spółek i ETF-ów sektorowych w USA, newsflow „naukowy” (czyli np. dobre wyniki badań) z polskich spółek oraz newsflow komercjalizacyjny. Pierwsza przesłanka de facto się już dzieje – indeks ETF-u biotechowego IBB rośnie od listopada 2023 i obecnie trwa walka o wybicie z kilkuletniej konsolidacji, czemu sprzyja wzrost aktywności M&A w sektorze. Piątkowe informacje z Celonu to z kolei długo oczekiwany news o charakterze naukowym z polskiej spółki, który powinien mocno rezonować w skali globalnej i wydaje się, że nie jest on jeszcze do końca zdyskontowany w reakcji rynku – komentuje Adam Kalkusinski, prezes cc group. Na GPW jest notowanych ponad 20 firm zajmujących się biotechnologią i medycyną. Największą kapitalizację mają: Neuca (jest dystrybutorem farmaceutyków, ale też rozwija biznes kliniczny), Celon (1,3 mld zł), Selvita (ponad 1,2 mld zł), Synektik (1,2 mld zł), Ryvu (1,2 mld zł), Scope Fluidics (450 mln zł), Synthaverse (400 mln zł), Captor (370 mln zł), Bioceltix (320 mln zł), Bioton (290 mln zł), Mabion S.A. (290 mln zł), PolTreg (245 mln zł) i Molecure (230 mln zł). Wyceny z rekomendacji dla zdecydowanej większości spółek biotechnologicznych implikują niedowartościowanie ich walorów. Eksperci rynkowi są zgodni, że bardzo istotne znaczenie dla rozruchu polskiego biotechu miałby kolejny news, np. duża umowa partneringowa. Wśród spółek, które mogą pozytywnie zaskoczyć analitycy wskazują Captor Therapeutics, Ryvu Therapeutics oraz Celon. Jak podkreśla Marcin Szumowski, prezes Molecure, sukces Celon Pharmy może przyczynić się do wzrostu zainteresowania inwestowaniem w nasz sektor. Zwiększają również znacznie prawdopodobieństwo transakcji partneringowych i dostępu do większego kapitału zagranicznego, co przynosi korzyści pacjentom i akcjonariuszom. Prócz korzyści finansowych, istotnym czynnikiem jest też postrzeganie polskiej nauki oraz potencjału naukowców, którzy zdaniem Miron Tokarski, prezesa Genomtec S.A., nie powinni mieć żadnych kompleksów, czy to w obszarze technologii, biotechnologii czy diagnostyki molekularnej.
