Greenvolt Power is committed to continuing its educational mission to promote #greenenergy. Education through fun - under this motto, we prepared three interactive stands in Skarszewy Sobotki, Poland where participants could explore the secrets of renewable energy. The first stand, titled "electroWorld", was equipped with a specially designed model where children and adults could learn the principles of construction and operation of power lines.   The second stand, dedicated to the power of the Sun, revealed the secrets of photovoltaic technologies to participants. From solar car races to cooling fan hats, each experiment was an opportunity to learn about using #solarenergy.   Finally, the third experience, the "Arena Piorunów", attracted crowds of people willing to participate in experiments with electrostatics. From styling "stormy" hairstyles using a van de Graaff generator, to experiments with a live electricity-conducting chain - each participant had the opportunity to feel the effects of electrostatic forces on their own skin. These initiatives demonstrate that learning can be fun, bringing a new perspective on green technologies and integrating the local community around key energy and #environmental issues as was done last month in Skarszewy Sobotki.

The Academy of Capital Market Leaders summer school, organized by Fundacja im. Lesława A. Pagi has officially opened, attracting ambitious young people interested in a career in the financial industry. As a partner of this prestigious event, Greenvolt Power actively participated in the educational program, where the Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A) department, represented by Nazar Holovchak, M&A Manager at Greenvolt Power Poland, conducted a case study for the participants of the initiative to experience the real working conditions as a financial analyst. "It's a special feeling to be able to pass on knowledge and show how theoretical issues are applied in practice," says Holovchak. This initiative provides an excellent platform for young talent to gain invaluable experience needed to succeed in competitive capital markets and aligns with #GreenvoltPower commitment to the development of future leaders and the promotion of financial education.

Last month, the residents of Sompolno had the opportunity to participate in a unique event – The Picnic with #Power, which took place in the heart of the city. As part of its educational mission to promote renewable energies, Greenvolt Power organized several activities and animations for children. These young minds had the opportunity to learn a little more about #wind and #solar energy, while putting their hands to work in practical activities. "Our main goal is to educate the youngest in the spirit of respect for the natural #environment and to understand how important renewable energy sources are for our future," says Krzysztof Pokorski, one of the educators. “A picnic is an excellent opportunity to convey these values to children in an accessible and attractive way.” The Picnic with Power in Sompolno is not just a moment of fun, it’s also an important lesson in environmental responsibility. Initiatives like this show how local events can help create environmental awareness in society, while providing a moment of entertainment for families.

Today, we celebrate #GlobalEnergyIndependenceDay 🌍, reminding everyone of the importance of taking decisive steps toward a future powered by #RenewableEnergy. We know that transitioning to cleaner energy is crucial to protect the environment and the #planet. But, it's also essential to realize that achieving #EnergyIndependence and self-reliance is a matter of stability and security for nations, safeguarding them from geopolitical tensions, price fluctuations, or supply disruptions. We believe that diversifying #energy portfolios and focusing on renewable sources should be a shared goal for everyone in the pursuit of a #sustainable and more resilient world.

The Greenvolt Group announced its results for the first quarter of 2024, with revenues reaching €101.6 million (+60% compared to 1Q23). This growth was driven by significant increases in the #UtilityScale and #DistributedGeneration segments, which offset the lower contribution from the #SustainableBiomass business. Given the low electricity prices in the United Kingdom, penalizing the Sustainable Biomass segment, and the expected absence of asset rotation operations in Utility-Scale, the EBITDA totaled €18.7 million (-21% compared to 1Q23) and the net result attributable to Greenvolt, excluding the effect of discontinued operations, amounted to -€1.5 million, with the total net result attributable to the Group being -€2.7 million. As expected, Greenvolt Power had no new asset rotation operations this quarter, but four sales processes are ongoing, two of them already with binding offers and two with a preferred bidder, which are expected to be concluded during this year. The total pipeline has also increased to 8.6 GW (compared with 8.4 GW in Dec-23) and the projects in development or under construction are proceeding as planned. “The results recorded in this first quarter are not representative of Greenvolt’s expectations for the whole of 2024. We anticipate a significant improvement in activity, as well as profitability over the next few quarters, developing our project portfolio at the same time as implementing the strategy of asset rotation that we commit to with our stakeholders”, says João Manso Neto, CEO of Greenvolt Group. The Greenvolt Group remains confident in its strategic direction and anticipates a significant increase in results for 2024 compared to 2023, focusing on expanding its portfolio, enhancing its market position, and delivering long-term value to its stakeholders.

#Power is everywhere and this week it is present at not one but two events in #Germany.   Yesterday, Jan Kloczko, Deputy Director Commercial (Europe) at Greenvolt Power, was present at the 2n Solar Energy Storage Future Germany 2024, discussing "PPA Risk Allocation and Mitigation: Concerning Regulatory Instability and VPPA", an event held by Energy Box that featured numerous experts from the sector, especially #energystorage.   As the sun continues to shine, today marks the start of the first day of one of the biggest solar energy events in Europe, Intersolar 2024, where Greenvolt Group is present at the Booth C4.430 (Hall 4) showcasing all its segments, some booth activities and where you can also connect with our experts from many countries.   In a week that #energy is at the top of the agenda, exploring the future of #solarenergy and #storagesolutions with industry leaders and experts is the perfect formula for a more sustainable future.

Intersolar starts this week and as part of the Greenvolt Group, we are participating in the Round Table with the topic "Discussion and evaluation of PPA's" organized by MaxSolar GmbH. #EnergyStorage is the topic? Last year Greenvolt Power was the winner of a photo competition promoted by SolarPower Europe, and we were invited to present what's behind this magnificent photo and unvieling the entire #biodiversity project and how it is working. The photo was taken at the Miasteczko Krajenskie solar farm in Poland and our specialists, Tomasz Naborczyk, Head of PV Development and Sylwia Jaruga-Białaś, Environmental and Biodiversity Expert, shared with the association the implementation of the first biodiversity enhancements action, the merging of ecosystems and renewables and many other topics.
