This time, we present a complex of school buildings consisting of four structures, including a sport hall with a swimming pool. The buildings incorporate the newest technologies to reduce energy consumption. Five different heating node variants were compared, considering investment costs, operating costs, and user-friendliness. The most favorable variant was selected, which includes the following equipment to meet heat demand: a cogeneration unit, ground-source heat pumps, hybrid solar collectors, a gas boiler, and wastewater heat recovery. Due to issues with stormwater drainage on the investment location, a water retention system was implemented on green roofs and in retention tanks nearby. We would like to show an interesting expertise and the project of structural strengthens for a building whose main structure dates back to the early post-war years, and the part of building covered by inspection from the early 2000s. The possibility of cutting out 4 inner structural columns supporting the slab, which is also a patio slab, and enlarging the existing opening for the skylight was considered. Based on a detailed analysis, it was decided to strengthen the slab with steel beams 2x HEB600 to support the patio slab in the line of the existing side columns. The support of the beams was designed in the form of reinforced concrete jambs protruding from the walls. The jambs also helped to shorten the span of the beams (which already reached a span of almost 11 meters). The design solutions have been selected in accordance with the Investor's expectations in such a way as to avoid complicated works and the search for specialized contractors. Location: Warsaw (city center) We decided to use BIM technology to accurately reflect the existing part of the building and precisely adapt the designed solutions of slab strengthens. All masonry walls are non-structural. The building consists of two underground levels and 9 above-ground levels, with a 90cm thick foundation slab. Location: Warsaw The multidisciplinary project was entirely executed using BIM technology, enabling advanced interdisciplinary coordination and avoiding many clashes at site. Structural design software used: Dlubal Software and Trimble Tekla.

We are extremely proud to have created the façade for the iconic Varso Tower in Poland – the tallest building in the European Union. Scheldebouw B.V., part of Permasteelisa Group, designed, manufactured and installed 49,400 sqm of panelised system with triple glazing for the 53-storey tower, which rises to a height of 310m over central Warsaw. Featuring state-of-the-art technologies to reduce water and energy consumption, Varso Tower is the first Polish project of this scale to achieve BREEAM Outstanding and WELL Gold ratings. The neomodern complex, designed by Foster + Partners, provides 140,000 sqm of office space on the upper floors, an observation deck at 230m, and a glazed public courtyard at ground level. Shops, restaurants and cafés on the ground level are linked to Warsaw Central Station through an underground corridor.
