One of the key factors of their success is the ability to effectively manage processes through the Lean Management system. At Kospel, we decided to implement this modern concept, and the first step in this direction was a three-day training that recently took place in our company. The goal of the training was to enhance employees' skills and practically apply the acquired knowledge in production processes, which in the long-term perspective will bring tangible benefits to the company. Lean Management is a modern management concept that focuses on eliminating waste and maximizing value for customers. Implementing this system gives organizations a competitive advantage by reducing costs, increasing flexibility, and quickly adapting to changing market needs. The organization and financing of training by Kospel, play a key role in educating employees and supporting their development. The aim of the organization is to train employees in such a way that they can practically use the acquired knowledge in planning and executing production. Kospel gains not only a better-educated workforce but also introduces real changes that bring profit and allow for further development of the organization. The training was conducted by Alicja Domachowska, Senior Lean Expert, and Martyna Dybowska, Project Management Specialist from Lean Idea. The first part of the training focused on the theory of Lean Manufacturing. Participants worked on a simulation of an agricultural machinery factory, where they implemented the principles of the production system. This theoretical foundation allowed for a better understanding of how to use resources more efficiently while automating processes. The second part of the training was practical and centered around the new PPE4 water heater production line at Kospel. Participants, divided into teams that mimicked different company departments such as planning, quality, production, engineering, distribution, and material flow, implemented Lean tools such as SMED, Kanban, Kaizen, one-piece flow, yamazumi line balancing, and problem-solving standardization. Through engagement in practical tasks, participants could experience the benefits of Lean Management, such as inventory reduction, machine optimization, and quick adaptation of production to changing demand.

Employees at Kospel are regularly trained in first aid. Today, one of such training sessions is taking place because the safety of our employees is our absolute priority. Adhering to health and safety regulations and knowing first aid are crucial. This is especially true for our colleagues working in the factory and warehouse. They work in dynamic and demanding conditions where quick response is of great importance. The training is conducted by Ms. Klaudia Ludwikowska (paramedic) from SEKA S.A. Oddział w Koszalinie, who, with passion and professionalism, prepares our team to handle emergency situations. So that we know how to take care of each other and create a safe work environment.

Buffers are becoming increasingly popular in heating installations. In the era of growing use of renewable energy sources, such as photovoltaics, buffers play a key role in ensuring constant thermal comfort throughout the day. How do buffers work? The purpose of a buffer is to store an appropriate amount of energy (heat) when it is cheaper and to supply the heating system with the appropriate parameter (temperature) when necessary. Energy storage is beneficial if we have energy available in the second tariff. Ultimately, this solution translates into lower bills for energy used for heating purposes. Practical applications: - Combining a fireplace with a water jacket and an electric boiler. - Reducing the costs of electric heating thanks to the G12 tariff. - Stabilizing the operation of heat pumps and extending their lifespan. Hygienic buffers combine the function of a storage for central heating and the preparation of domestic hot water, offering both space savings and hygienic safety. How to choose a buffer? The selection of a buffer depends on many factors, such as the energy demand of the building or the type of installation (underfloor heating, radiators). Buffer capacities can range from several dozen to several thousand liters, depending on the needs. What an amazing day it was ! For the fourth time, the Velo Baltic - Tour de Koszalin took place, this time as part of the European Mobility Week. Kospel has been a partner and sponsor of the event for many years. This year, we took care of the event village, where everyone – regardless of age – found something interesting for themselves. The event started with a colorful peloton, which, rode through the city streets to the event village at Kospel's headquarters on BoWid24 Street. This encouraged residents to spend an active day, and the weather didn't disappoint – the sun accompanied us all day ! The main event of the day – the Velo Baltic Tour de Koszalin 2024 cycling race for the Mayor of Koszalin's Cup – took place in the Koszalin economic zone. Participants had two distances to choose from: MINI (17.5 km) and MAXI (67 km). All participants received commemorative medals and numerous prizes, and the decoration of the best took place at 3:00 PM. We invite you to view photos from this special day.
