Today is Take Our Kids to Work Day in Canada! This day is held annually and provides Grade 9 students an opportunity to explore careers and workplaces in their communities. Students may accompany a parent, caregiver, relative, or adult ally to their workplace to learn about their job and the organization. Magellan’s Haley facility was thrilled to host four students for Take Our Kids to Work Day! The students received a firsthand look into the fascinating work that takes place at our foundry and casting facility. The day included a facility tour, an opportunity to shadow their parent (or sponsor), and a chance to try some hands on tasks too. Today, Haley’s student guests experienced what it takes to manufacture precision castings that are manufactured for the aerospace sector around the globe. It was great to encourage an interest in STEM and manufacturing. 💀 Magellan's Winnipeg team really got into the spirit 👻 of the Halloween today. 🎃 Costumes were encouraged, and the employees impressed with their creativity and sense of humor. The day was filled with Halloween fun that included a pumpkin centerpiece competition, a mummy wrapping event, and a giant bin of candy that could be won if you guessed the number of goodies inside!
