Finding a matching donor is vital, and with 70% of patients depending on unrelated donors, the work of DKMS is more crucial than ever. DKMS operates in Poland, the United Kingdom, Germany, the United States, India, Chile, and South Africa, but the database serves a global community. The more people who register, the better the chances of finding a match for those in need 💪💖 In support of this life-saving mission, we recently hosted a bone marrow donor registration drive at our office. We are deeply proud of our volunteers and employees who showed tremendous dedication to this cause. This initiative is even closer to our hearts as one of our colleagues is currently in need of a match. That's why we're excited to announce our new social campaign at PEPCO Romania, “Discutii din inima” (“Conversations from the Heart”) 💬, in collaboration with Fundația Noi Orizonturi, Salvați Copiii România, and Adolescenti depreHUB 🤝 Our goal is to foster open communication between parents and children, encouraging them to express their emotions and feelings 📣 We believe that when verbal communication is difficult, writing can be a powerful alternative ✍️ To support this, we invited parent-child pairs to participate in our campaign 🧑🧒 Each pair was given a journal to write down their feelings for a week, after which they exchanged journals to discover each other’s true emotions. The results were touching, showcasing the depth of love and honesty that can emerge from sincere conversations 💗 As Raluca Popescu, CSR Specialist at Pepco, says, “Putting your thoughts in a journal prepares you for those difficult conversations about feelings and events in your life. This campaign has shown us how much we can learn about our loved ones through written communication.” 📔💖 We encourage everyone to talk about their feelings with their parents and children. At Pepco, we thrive on sports challenges, especially when they serve a noble cause! 💪✨ This May, we kicked off another edition of Better Move, Better Lives, an extraordinary sports competition that encourages physical activity among our employees while supporting those in need. This year, we are excited to welcome our colleagues from PGS (one of the companies from Pepco Group) to join us in this initiative.
