Themed ‘Pepco’s Got Talent’, we added some fun by celebrating our colleagues’ talents outside of work – who knew we had such amazing singers and dancers among us? 😊 We also celebrated key milestones - Pepcoversaries, recognizing colleagues for their 5, 10, 15, and even 20 years of dedication 🏆 The Pepstar Awards shined a spotlight on exceptional performance, while our Pepcoolture Masters were honored for their incredible commitment to our culture and customers. What a proud moment for all of us! In addition to inspiring presentations on the main stage, our participants dove deep into discussions in breakout rooms, covering key topics like operations, supply chain, VM, and ESG. Over the past 5 weeks, our stores across Poland, Lithuania, Latvia, and Estonia have gone head-to-head in a friendly competition to boost their sales in the Back To School category 🎒 This year’s pilot edition was all about motivation, fun, and a healthy dose of competition. The challenge? To achieve the highest percentage of Back To School sales in relation to total sales in each store. And let us tell you, the results have been nothing short of impressive! 🌟 From the 61 areas across four countries, we have our champions! 🏆 Each winning store has shown outstanding performance and truly embodies the spirit of teamwork and dedication. Courage and professionalism in a crisis! 🎉 During daily shopping, a customer unexpectedly lost consciousness. Thanks to the quick thinking of our incredible team members, Iza and Edyta, help was immediately on the way 🚨 One dialed emergency services, while the other, along with a nearby customer, quickly administered CPR 🆘 Their swift and professional actions helped revive the individual before the paramedics arrived 🧑⚕️   Though Iza and Edyta initially preferred to remain in the background, we want to highlight their courage and professionalism 🌟 Their actions exemplify how vital first aid can be in saving lives. We moved for the children! 💙 Pepco’s "Better Move, Better Lives" challenge is all about promoting physical activity 🏃 and self-development 💪 – not only among our colleagues but also among the youngest 👧👦 The points 💯 collected by Pepco and PGS (Pepco Global Sourcing) colleagues during this year's challenge were transformed into funds we allocated to organizing activities for children facing difficult life situations in 5 countries 🙌 ➡️ Poland: beach volleyball workshops were organized for 85 at-risk children in Poznań, promoting a healthy lifestyle. ➡️ Italy: a summer camp was funded for 30 children from Milan, Rome, and Napoli impoverished areas. ➡️ Romania: support was provided to 50 children at risk of social exclusion through sponsored recreational and cultural activities. ➡️ Latvia: SOS Latvian kids were enabled to participate in the "Hope for Mundial" World Cup in Warsaw for children from care homes. ➡️ Lithuania: a playground renovation was funded for 100 children at the SOS Children's Villages crisis center. "We believe every child should have equal opportunities to play and learn. Through projects such as "Better Move, Better Lives", we can reach more children in at-risk communities. Our consultants are the first line of support: they take calls from stores in 18 countries, registering reported problems or solving them during the call—more than 80% of which are fixed on the spot. Let’s talk and grow 💬 This simple idea has been with us since the PDP Performance and Development Process program started, helping Pepco employees level up and thrive🌱 What is the core of the PDP program? ✔️ We handed over the reins to the employees and told them that the development is in their hands! ✔️ We set up periodic conversations between the employee and the management that were open, sincere, and, most importantly, supportive. Face-to-face gatherings allowed for the sharing of experiences, the defining of goals and methods for growth, and the discussion of career aspirations. ✔️ We recommended growth according to the 70-20-10 model, which emphasizes learning first from experience and social learning secondarily through, among other things, mentoring and formal learning through training, courses, etc. ✔️ We focused on the feedback culture because it was an essential factor driving the entire program. “Growth is a journey, not a destination. We’ve wrapped up another edition of the Better Move, Better Live sports challenge, and today we're bringing you the exciting summary! 🎉 We’re incredibly proud of our colleagues and the PGS team because together we achieved results that translate into real help! 💙 This year, we added extra missions to amp up the fun. Families got their kids involved, encouraging activity and building healthy habits in children and teens. We also boosted team spirit by challenging 5-person teams to cover 400 km in a week—and guess what? 8 teams crushed it! 🚴♂️🚴♀️ Those heart-shaped routes? Totally on purpose! Our colleagues went the extra mile to create the largest and most stunning heart-shaped routes, perfectly reflecting our 💙.
