What? Never seen two people packing gifts for a conference before? 🎁 🛍 You might’ve seen our post about the gifts we had ready for you at the Banking & Insurance Forum a couple of weeks back in Warsaw. But here’s the part you didn’t see: Days before the event, our Business Development Manager Magdalena Malinowska turned her flat into a full-on conference prep central—we’re talking boxes of goodies wall-to-wall 📦📦📦. Now that’s commitment. Getting everything just right was no small feat for her and Bartosz Czerwiński—it took hours of sorting and packing. Not to brag, but we think it’s pretty safe to say that, in the end, it was worth it! Many of you were really impressed with the gift boxes we prepared. Somebody even asked: “What marketing company did you have this done by?” And we thought: “Wait, we could have it done?😶” Just kidding. We knew exactly what we were doing (or did we?). The point is we did want to do that ourselves. Putting an effort into preparing these gifts was our way of bringing a piece of who we are (and probably a few tears, too) to the conference floor. Huge thanks to everyone who stopped by, shared a moment with us and took a piece of Shaped Thoughts home. Can’t wait to bring even more surprises to future events! And the thoughts post-Banking & Insurance Forum continue 💭💡 Did you know that it was our debut with a stand of our own at an event like this? That’s why we went the extra mile to really stand out (see what we did there? 🙂). Among all the treats, beverages, and whatnot that we prepared, we were particularly excited—and a bit nervous— to see what you’d think of our little “gadgets experiment”. What was it about? Glad you asked! We didn’t want to do the typical swag bag thing with ordinary gadgets you can find at any conference. OK, technically, we did give you bags 🛍 (guilty of that), but we wanted to do it differently—we wanted to really put our hearts into it and bring you closer to our company's culture. How did we go about it? During the conference, we handed out 76 identical boxes (in the aforementioned bags). Inside were 4 gadgets, each being a metaphorical take on one of our core values that guide our daily work. There was also a note asking you for your feedback on the gifts. So, what were the goodies? OK, we’ll spill: 🌻 Sunflower microgreens—because we’re all about trust that needs nurturing, just like plants do ✏ Everlasting pencil—a nod to our dedication to quality ⏰ Fancy timer—our “getting things done” reminder 🧩 Custom jigsaw puzzle—We give you the pieces, you put them together. This way, we win together 🤝. Side note: the artist behind the graphics for this was our co-founder Bartosz Czerwiński who cooked it up with the help of AI. What did we learn from all this? Well, in all honesty, only a few gave us feedback, but those who did, loved the way we showcased our values. The jigsaw puzzle turned out to be the crowd favourite 😄. Some of you also shared suggestions for improvement, which we truly appreciate! Your input means the world to us; after all—we did that for you. So if you haven't had a chance to chime in yet, you can still reach out—we’d love to hear from you! We wanted to make an impression and give you something that makes you think of Shaped Thoughts and smile 😊. From what some of you shared, we’d say: mission accomplished! ✅ Not on the scale we hoped, but hey, it’s something. It was our debut, remember? Baby steps. You gotta walk before you run. We’re already peckish for another occasion to interact with you and give you something special 🎁. Just wrapped up an exciting time at the Banking & Insurance Forum 🚀✨💼 Bartosz Czerwiński, Rafał Babiarz, and Magdalena Malinowska (aka Malina) proudly represented our Shaped Thoughts crew 👥, making our debut with a stand of our own! It was such a pleasure meeting all of you—so many connections made. Having such a networking dynamo as Malina on board might have had something to do with it 😉. Did we mention inspiring conversations and insights? 💬💡Because there were plenty of those, too. Just to name a few (but really, the list can go on): 💡There are a lot of talks among insurers about initiatives that enable better data sharing, like PZU’s recent move to join UFG’s fraud prevention efforts. There’s a clear need for collaboration to deliver better services, and it could be a step towards #OpenInsurance. Definitely something to keep an eye on. 💡Cybersecurity, among other things, creating user-friendly communication while meeting KNF's strict cybersecurity requirements (like different PDF passwords each time) is something that’s increasingly on insurers’ radar. 💡Insurance agents and multiagencies made themselves comfortable here in Poland, and it looks like they’re not going anywhere. With their role as trusted advisors in the insurance supply chain it couldn’t be any other way—especially when about 60% of property policies are being sold through multiagents. 💡Pet insurance is becoming a thing in Poland. Local insurers are jumping into this market, even offering these products as add-ons internationally. That’s surely good news for Polish pet owners. The conference was an eye-opener in many ways, and our minds are still racing. Families on board! Not too long ago, we had a blast together in the picturesque town of Wisła! We got to kick back, enjoy the outdoors, exploring the nature around us, as well as the luxuries the hotel we stayed in offered. And the best part is we got to do it all with our loved ones by our side! ❤️ For some context, let us tell you a short story (cue the harp sound 🎵): Once upon a time, the Shaped Thoughts team met on location and brought their families along—all as a solution to scheduling conflicts. Everybody had a great time. So much so that somebody said: “Hey, why don’t we make it our annual tradition”? Fast forward to today, and now, once a year, our families join us for a special getaway weekend. The end. What did we tell you? We kept it short 😉.
