In a strategic move to improve our service to the Scandinavian and Dutch markets, our company made organizational changes to optimize our operations. The newly created position of Business Director Nordic countries & the Netherlands was taken up by Sverre Skaar.   Sverre Skaar has held the position of CEO and Chairman of the Board for Solaris Norge AS since 2012, a position he will continue to hold. He will now also be responsible for the Swedish, Danish and Dutch markets.   The Nordic and Dutch markets are among the key regions for our company. Güstrow opens a new era of public transport in the region. 15 state-of-the-art, powered by hydrogen fuel cell Solaris Urbino hydrogen vehicles have already rolled out onto the streets of the Rostock County. When the Güstrow-based public transport operator Rebus Regionalbus Rostock placed an order for 52 of our brand's hydrogen buses last year, it was crystal clear that these vehicles would change the image of public transport in the region. Now, thanks to the first deliveries, public mobility in much of the region is going green. By the end of the year, all 52 hydrogen buses, including five articulated models, will reach the streets of the county. As the operator declares, the buses will be powered by locally produced green hydrogen. A number of guests attended the official presentation of the first delivered hydrogen Solaris buses, including the Parliamentary State Secretary in the Federal Ministry of Transport and Digital Infrastructure Daniela Kluckert, the State Secretary at the Ministry of Economic Affairs Ines Jesse, and the District Administrator Sebastian Constien. At this year’s European Mobility Expo, held from October 1-3, 2024, in Strasbourg, we are showcasing our most technologically advanced bus – the hydrogen-powered Solaris Urbino 12 hydrogen, which offers a range of up to 600 km without generating any emissions at the point of use. The model on display is a bus customized for the German operator Rebus Regionalbus Rostock, based in Güstrow, Germany. This year’s event focuses on public transport and sustainable mobility. This vehicle leaves a LONG-lasting impression! Recently, residents of Lublin, Poland had a chance to take a look at this 24-meters, bi-articulated electric bus. The Solaris Urbino 24 electric ran on the city's lines for several days, giving the city's public transport operator a first-hand glimpse of its technical parameters and capabilities, all as part of EUROPEAN MOBILITY WEEK. Launched in 2019, this 24-meter zero-emission bus is an ideal solution for metropolises with increased passenger traffic - it can take more than 180 people on board. 14 units of this unusual e-bus have so far been delivered to Aalborg, Denmark and a trolleybus versions of the vehicle can also be found in Bratislava and Prague. We are thrilled that Lublin's public transport operator had the opportunity to explore the remarkable potential of this unique e-bus. The Bus of the Year 2025 title goes to the Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen.   Industry experts appreciated the advantages of hydrogen technology and awarded the articulated version of the Solaris Urbino 18 hydrogen, which is powered by electricity generated in a hydrogen fuel cell.   "This is a tremendous distinction not only for our product but for our entire zero-emission mobility strategy.
