How was the ribbon at the Fairy Tale Museum in Bielsko-Biala? Design, technology and implementation created. A unique ceiling installation in the form of a dynamically spinning ribbon was created at the Museum of Tales in Bielsko-Biała. This unusual project was the result of combining a bold architectural vision with modern stretch ceiling technologies, creating both a striking and functional element of the space. Step-by-step implementation process: 1. Concept creation It all started with the development of preliminary sketches by the architects. Their goal was to give the ribbon an organic, flowing shape that would fit harmoniously into the museum space. 2 Adapting the design to the interior The ribbon was drawn into the room, and its length was set at 99.85 meters, with heights ranging from 70 cm to 100 cm. A detailed design based on DPS stretch ceiling technology was also created at this stage. 3. 3D visualization To better visualize the final effect, a 3D model of the ribbon was developed. This made it possible to assess its proportions and the impact on the perception of the entire interior. 4. Development of construction and technical documentation Next, technical sections of the installation and a detailed plan were prepared, taking into account the use of special profiles. This made it possible to precisely define the installation method. 5. Test model (mockup) Before the full-scale implementation, a test model of the installation was made. It allowed us to assess not only the scale and structure, but also the final visual effect that the ribbon would achieve in the museum. 6. installation of the sling system The next step was to prepare the site for the installation and install the mounting cables that would hold the entire structure at the proper height. 7. Installation of the main structure After the preparation stage was completed, the installation of the main ribbon structure began. The individual components were precisely fastened to the previously prepared slings. 8. Fixing the printed membranes In the final phase, the tension membranes with the prepared print were attached. It was this element that gave the ribbon its final, spectacular appearance. 9. Finalisation and outcome Once all the work was completed, the installation was officially finished. The photographic documentation of the project shows what an impressive effect was achieved. This remarkable undertaking perfectly illustrates how modern technologies can support the creative visions of architects and create inspiring spaces.
