We are proud to contribute to this project bringing our innovative CO2 liquefaction technology, Cryocap™ LQ, highlighting our commitment to advancing low-carbon solutions and supporting a sustainable future! 👉 View our complete portfolio here: https://lnkd.in/ezMEUWV2
Air Liquide's innovative large scale CO2 #liquefaction technology, Cryocap LQ, has been selected by Stockholm Exergi, Stockholm’s energy company, to contribute to its Bio-Energy #CarbonCapture & #Storage (BECCS) project. The Cryocap LQ CO2 liquefaction unit supplied by Air Liquide will be one of the largest in the world with a capacity of 3,500 tonnes per day. The CO2 liquefaction solution allows to transport CO2 over long distances to carbon sinks for permanent storage, contributing to the viability of CCS projects and emergence of a #lowcarbon industry. This new technology is an important additional brick in Air Liquide’s portfolio of proprietary technologies that paves the way to developing large-scale Carbon Capture & Storage (#CCS) value chains. 👉 https://lnkd.in/dbuBVyFd

Air Liquide inaugurates its new Air Separation Unit dedicated to #Healthcare and Industrial Merchant activities in Kosi, in the State of Uttar Pradesh in India! Air Liquide’s site in Kosi, where the unit is located, is now the largest liquid gases plant in the State of Uttar Pradesh. Per day, it has a #production capacity of: 🟡 more than 300 tonnes of liquid #oxygen & medical oxygen, 🟡 approximately 45 tonnes of liquid #nitrogen, 🟡 12 tonnes of liquid #argon. The medical grade oxygen manufactured in this plant will be supplied to hospitals. 🏥 In line with Air Liquide’s Sustainability Objectives, which include reaching carbon neutrality by 2050, this plant has been designed to contribute to a successful #energytransition in India. The new unit is planned to fully operate on renewable energy by 2030. Congratulations to the E&C teams.

Last week, we got exciting news for the Group and Air Liquide Engineering & Construction teams! Air Liquide announced that it is selected to invest up to 850 million dollars to build, own and operate four Large Modular Air separation units as well as related infrastructure, in the framework of a long-term binding agreement with ExxonMobil for its planned low-carbon hydrogen project in Baytown, Texas. Upon final investment decision, this major project would mark the largest industrial investment in the history of the Air Liquide Group, enabling Air Liquide to increase its oxygen production capacity by 50% in Texas! Some details about the project: The units will be able to supply a record volume of 9,000 metric tons per day of oxygen and 6,500 metric tons per day of nitrogen to support the production of ExxonMobil. Amongst other uses, it will be used to synthesize low-carbon hydrogen into low-carbon ammonia as a source of low-carbon energy for the export market. They provide a step-change both in terms of production output and energy consumption optimization, as they use 25% less electricity to make each tonne of oxygen. In addition, the plants are planned to be primarily powered by renewable and low-carbon electricity, further reducing the carbon footprint of the project. Concretely, it represents approximately 20,000 cubic meters of concrete, 5km of pipes and 300 km of power and control cables I would like to sincerely thank the Air Liquide Engineering & Construction teams who worked hand in hand with the Air Liquide teams and contributed to this unprecedented milestone by developing the technology solution and working on project execution. It is another example of how, together as one team, we can actively support our customers and contribute to the decarbonization of the industry. This is just the beginning, but together, we are building a low-carbon future for all! https://lnkd.in/dvjmKg_n
