🚀 New technologies have the potential to greatly enhance the service provided by officers. This is precisely what participants of the Technological Training Summit in Ankara, part of the VR4React - Reducing Reactive Aggression through Virtual Reality project, are discovering. 💡 The project aims to equip professionals with the knowledge and techniques required to support prison officers in their work and help rehabilitate inmates exhibiting violent behaviour. 🛠️ 🔗More about the project 👉 https://lnkd.in/dDGCTUGM 🔗 Key topics addressed in the training include reactive and proactive aggression among inmates, and hands-on VR exercises to manage aggressive tendencies. Participants are also trained in the technical operation of VR goggles and how to integrate virtual reality with traditional training methods. The next phase of the VR4REACT training programme will focus on e-learning for representatives of the Polish Prison Service and inmates. The meeting in Ankara is a practical preparation for this task, with Major Cezary Mecwaldowski and Justyna Karolak representing the Polish Prison Service and probation officers. 👥 A huge thanks to the Ankara Probation Directorate for the exceptional organisation of this event! 🙏 #VirtualReality #PrisonRehabilitation #LawEnforcementTraining #VR4REACT #InnovationInCorrections #VRTechnology #Elearning #AggressionManagement

#PPHS - Supporting Polish and European Security
Informacje
The Polish Platform for Homeland Security (PPHS) was established in 2005 as a joint agreement between the Polish Police, universities and research institutes. Over the years, the cooperation has expanded to include new agencies and representatives of the judiciary. We are a non-profit organisation, and our mission is to increase the level of security in Poland and Europe. This is mainly achieved by implementing national and international projects supporting the work of uniformed services, training and audit activities and the organisation of specialised workshops, webinars and conferences, as well as through other types of educational and dissemination activities. Thanks to the cooperation between security practitioners and the representatives of academia modern tools and technologies, as well as legal and organisational solutions aimed at increasing the level of internal security are developed and supported.
