No doubt Google Play services provides support for apps to functions optimally. I recently got a new phone after my former phone went blank for days and remained so while downloading an attached document to my email inbox. I was happy that after setting up the new phone I was able to read some new mails and download their attachments. This joy was shortlived as that ended in just a day after that. Four days and counting it kept telling me that Google Play services is updating. What do I do?

Still shows an ancient screenshot of version 1.0.13 although it's now version 24.32.34, the pic shows the app taking up 1.54MB but in reality its much much more. New version takes up 215mb compared to 85mb in the previous version. A lot of apps which say they won't run without Play Services actually do. Try telling us exactly what this app is for and give us the choice whether to use it instead of forcing it upon us. No response from devs to anyone's comments in last 4 years, that says enough!

Takes up too much space and no matter what you do, clearing the catche and the data, soon the app will take up 1 Gigabyte of space. Can't even access it to see what is taking up all the space. Takes up battery like a 15 Gigabyte app. Also doesn't allow you to uninstall or disable it if you want too even though you should be able to. Half of the positive reviews for this app are talking about an entirely different app.
