app is terrible. after closing the app, it will often start playing video ads in the background which you can hear if your audio is on, and once you figure out ESPN is the app playing audio, the only way to get it to stop is to force close the app. also if you set up game alerts for NBA games, it often sends push alerts with incorrect quarter/half scores, adding/removing a point or two from a teams score. for highlighs it often plays the ad before, but then fails to play the clip.

Running Android Pixel 7 pro. App struggles to load videos and videos are set to autoplay by default. Update on app was Oct 1st. Did not fix anything. Updated phone to Android 15 this week. Still same if not worse. Can't show scores. Just spins. Turned off video autoplay in settings. Did not help me to see scores. I guess it is a trash app for Android. No other app having this issue. Wifi is not an issue. Reboot phone and same. It's a shame.

This app tries to do too much and really just needs to focus on getting the simple streaming aspect down. It is buggy and extremely annoying. If I'm watching a game behind 20 minutes from live and have to switch to another app, like send a text message about the game, the player resets to live play when I switch back. It's the simplest task to STAY PAUSED WHERE I PAUSED IT, but the app can't even do that correctly. I'm hoping the NHL switches all out-of-network games to Victory Plus.
