The sign in function broke and never let me sign in again. It brings me to the My Sony website. Even though I'm logged in already (I clicked X and it shows my account is actively signed in), it still promps to enter email and password. And it ALWAYS show error message or server time out. I've tried clicking "reset password" for a years now, and not for once received email to do the resetting.

The app got a bit better after the late 2024 rebranding, but still the same problem: I search for "Sony" and find nothing. Now it's named "Sound Connect" with an even less useful icon. And of course, as bad projects do, it treats user data without any care at all. You got a brand new app. Rejoice! Yeah I would have liked it if it didn't lose data (settings made before) and if it didn't happen out of the blue. But that's how you treat customers. Oh and no firmware updates for XM4. Of course not.

The new update looks pretty, but doesn't fix any of the core problems. - can't customize basic functionality. I.e. taps to perform actions. - "Quick access" of partner apps is prioritized over usability. - frustrating restrictions on which apps can use 'special' features. No support youtube music. - "3d" sound is a joke and can't be tested without a subscription to another service.
