In the recent update the main screen doesn't refresh when I add/change an event or task. This used to refresh right away. Now I have to force stop the app and reopen to see the changes reflected New update: still problems from before. Also, I noticed I cannot tap and hold to move an event without causing the app to hang. This used to be the basic functionality

Hi Christopher. Let's try clearing the cache of the Calendar app: Open Phone settings - Select Apps or App & notifications - Choose Google Calendar - Tap Storage - Clear cache - OK. Deliberately changes the names of calendars I've already set as something else! I have a calendar called "Accounts" that every other app which syncs with Google also correctly sees as Accounts but this app decides to call it Events instead. I dont want it called Events! I want it called the name I SET IT AS! (And note I do not have the gmail events option on) This app also shows Holidays in Australia just as "Holidays". I want clear and consistent naming of my calendars that I can trust.

Streamlining obfuscates fast functionality. In landscape mode, the hidden menu has to be pulled from the side of the screen, which is the same gesture to go back or exit. This menu is also incomplete and missing the alternate calendar view options available when not in landscape. You cannot use schedule view in landscape. It merges multiple events into just displaying that there are, not what. Give me the buttons to do what I want and need to do. Stop hiding things.
