Not sure if this can even be changed, but on my old phone the stars showed up as yellow. On my new phone (Pixel 8a), they are just showing up as gray. I do not notice the messages at all with gray stars, so it's almost pointless to use them. It would be lovely if the multiple color options available to use if logged in on a computer were also in the app, but I at least want some color back for my stars.

I've tried so hard to get my iCloud address to receive push notifications, but no, Gmail just doesn't seem to support it, no matter how many forums I read about it. And for my exchange addresses, even though it says it's doing push, it receives emails 10 seconds or more after other apps have received them. Very very frustrating! Additionally, I hate that after deleting an email, it takes me back to the main screen instead of to the next email. Most other apps allow an option for this.

Update Oct 2024: still not a good app. Can't zoom out to see an email, no real settings to change. Consistently disappointed with this app. Any complexity means you need desktop, scripts, addons, or outlook. Original: Ok. UI overhaul limits functionality and usability. Can't create default mailbox, search often doesn't return results expected, no themes. Seems to be taking steps backwards on configuration and usability, and prioritizing "smart/machine learning" driven rules for results.
