I really like this app. It's easy to use, group texts are easy, changing fonts is easy, pinning certain texters is very easy and helpful, and setting a delay for messages sent is also helpful. A couple of features I wish were available are, first, a filter to see only unread messages, and then second, making a "read" message "unread".

I've been using this app nearly a decade, but recently I'm constantly getting messages failing to send. Sometimes they are actually going through despite the failure notice, but it's a total crapshoot. Textra are definitely aware of the issue, but in typical fashion, are blaming Android, Samsung, anyone but themselves. Also, the updated attachment function is awful. Update: happening more frequently. If it's a carrier issue, why does it only happen with textra and not the default message app?

I wanted to love this app, especially since I hate Google messages. But this app has issues. I have already reached out for support with these issues and the suggestions failed to solve the issues. First, if I respond to a text via quick reply, the notification will say "sent", but will not clear from the tray. And when that happens, I will also stop getting the notification pop on screen, so I have to manually check to see if the individual replied. Back to Google messages I go. Smh.

✔ Improved media selection controls in the + panel, once you have selected a media thumbnail you can bypass the CHOOSE step and press the send icon if you are done.
✔ Improved video compression when sending MMS.

Note: The minimum API for Textra is now API 25 (Android 7.1).
