Enemy in Paris
A rage-watch podcast recapping every episode of the show we all love to hate: Emily in Paris. Begrudgingly hosted by Bec Hill and Sam Kieffer.
Always the highlight of my week

This is my absolute favorite podcast now! I tell all of my friends to listen. I love Sam and Bec’s banter and their relatable vulnerability. I swore I would never watch the show but broke down after binging the first two seasons of the pod. While every episode has been painful to watch, I found the Christmas episode in season 4 pushed me to new levels of rage. Emily wearing thigh-high boots on an international flight?? Followed by her multi-colored Smurf jacket at Cami’s house? And continuing the same tired plot of Cami’s mom relationship meddling. Then Alfi just so happens to show up at the same town square as Emily at the same time of night right after she breaks up with Gabriel? It is too much to bear. Can’t wait to hear your thoughts on this one. Love you guys, hate Emily.
Love the podcast, hate the show

I have come to write this review more times than I would like to admit and each time, I vent so much about this awful show, it ends up as word vomit. I watched the first season of Emily In Paris and didn’t hate it, but didn’t like it either. I couldn’t put a finger on it until I started listening to the podcast (which I heard about from Office Ladies). Emily is a terrible character, as is the writing. I have become increasingly offended that they expect me to buy not only her lifestyle (and Mindy’s), but that she’s “the most wonderful woman in the world.” Emily is the equivalent of a natural disaster. Only, on this show, no one dies or is displaced. She wreaks havoc on her life and the lives of everyone she comes in contact with ZERO consequences. Break up with or get dumped by a boyfriend? No problem, there’s another guy waiting in the wings. She was clearly a petulant child whose parents never said no or gave her a time out; Emily is what happens when you don’t set boundaries for your children. Bec and Sam are saints for their dedication to this terrible show. I love their banter and engagement with the Enemy in Paris community. I also appreciate that Sam continues to educate me on things I never knew and probably don’t really need to know (looking at you, cake farts). I adore Bec & Sam; I despise Emily.
Amazing podcast, extraordinary hosts

I’ve been listening to you two since day one after anticipating your podcast when Sam announced the idea of the Office Ladies. Because season 4 of EIP is almost over and I can’t imagine not listening to you two go on rants every week, I have a suggestion for a new podcast! Your next podcast should undoubtedly be about centered on breaking down down BETTER CALL SAUL. While the writing on this show is extraordinary, the main character Jimmy McGill, played by none other than the amazing Bob Odenkirk, is an awful person! But yet somehow we, as the audience, are masochists and want him to win, sometimes similarly to Emily in Emily In Paris. This show runs for 6 seasons, so just a thought to write about a show with the main character being unbelievably frustrating and a horrible person. Sam, I’d love a shout out (Lily) and a purr. Love you two bucket hats and bug bears so much, hate Emily.
Enemy in Paris - a must listen

If you’re a fan of Emily in Paris but feel a little guilty about liking such a ridiculous show, Enemy in Paris is the perfect companion podcast for you. Hosts Sam and Bec bring a hilarious and relatable perspective to this guilty pleasure, turning each episode into a fun and insightful hate-watch session. Their witty commentary and genuine chemistry make every episode a joy to listen and to. Even if Emily in Paris ends one day (fingers crossed), I sincerely hope Sam and Bec continue to podcast together- they are just that good! Love the pod, hate Emily!
