I tried to hammer home the importance of the genocide in Gaza and how it could impact the vote, especially in Michigan. Not meeting with or allowing Muslims or Jewish people for peace to speak at the convention and admonishing them to be silent in the face of them losing many family members in Gaza, and now the West Bank, Lebanon, and heaven help us where else, was a huge mistake. I was never going to vote for Trump, but it was imperative to hold Biden’s feet to the fire over the senseless and immoral killing of civilians and to force a ceasefire. Now I fear many Americans will face immoral imprisonments and killings here too, come January, when Trump is once again at the helm, only this time as dictator. I do hope I’m wrong, but it doesn’t look good. Elizabeth from NC

That was so gross. /It was good to hear on today’s show what needs to be said; ‘there is not going to be an easier time than now’ to tamp down this wave of cheating and authoritarianism. Every day I’ve been waiting for a sign that the democrats and sane republicans still in power realize this is not going to just go away or get easier. You don’t politely ask an authoritarian to stop stepping on your shoe. Unless you eventually want to go to war with them to get your foot back, don’t let them step on your shoe.
