This proves we’ve been building the wrong way for decades. Why build dead skyscrapers… when we can build living ones? Right in the middle of Singapore, there’s a building that changes everything we thought we knew about skyscrapers. It’s not glass and concrete. It’s covered in over 21 types of plants — growing, cooling, and cleaning the air. It’s not just a building. It’s a vertical forest. A living system. A home for birds, insects, and nature — in the heart of the city. No non-stop air conditioning. No wasted energy. Just smart design working with nature — not against it. This is the Oasia Hotel, designed by WOHA Architects. And it proves one thing loud and clear: We don’t have to choose between cities and nature. We can build both — at the same time. At BIOTONOMY, this is what inspires us. Let’s build cities that give more than they take. Let’s grow spaces that give life back. Would you want something like this in your city? Share the story and let people know green cities are possible! #biotonomy #greenwalls #greenbuilding #naturebasedsolutions

Sustainability isn’t working. And deep down, we all feel it. We build “green” buildings… but we’re still destroying ecosystems. We use “eco” materials… but still separate buildings from the land they sit on. We aim for “net zero”… but nature doesn’t do “zero.” It does life. Growth. Regeneration. The problem? We’re still thinking of buildings as machines. Non-living systems. Dead boxes with wires, pipes, and concrete. But the Earth is a living system. Forests, rivers, soil, air — all alive, all connected. You can’t plug a solar panel on top of a dead system and call it sustainable. That’s not nature. It’s time to stop building against nature. And start building as part of it. Nature Based Architecture is not just about efficiency. It’s about life. Buildings that breathe. That grow. That collect and treat their own water. Produce their own energy and food. Clean their own air. And give something back to the ecosystem around them. Not just sustainable. Regenerative. Resilient. Self-sufficent & Alive. We’re not here to reduce the damage. We’re here to become part of the solution. Let’s stop aiming for less harm — and start building in a way that heals. Nature-Based Architecture is the future. Real food doesn’t come with a barcode. Most food today is making us sick. It’s not real food anymore. It’s chemicals. It’s calories with no nutrients. It’s poison disguised as convenience. 70% of global deaths now come from chronic diseases like diabetes, heart disease, and cancer. This isn’t bad luck. It’s the system. Farmers spray toxic chemicals on almost everything we eat — and they’ve tripled the amount in just 25 years. These chemicals kill bugs, but they also hurt our soil, our food, and our bodies. But it doesn’t have to stay this way. You can grow real food. Clean food. Healing food. Right at home. Autonomous Homes make it possible. Nature makes it powerful. And you make it happen. If you’re ready to take back your health and your future, join us. Most people don’t know there’s another way - Help us show them. Most buildings in the world have no soul. They’re not built for people. They’re not built for nature. They’re built for speed, profit, and surface-level function. No vision. No purpose. No emotional connection. Just concrete, steel, and short-term thinking. The sad part? Buildings without souls make people feel sad and tired. When we grow up in places like that, we forget how to feel alive. But it doesn’t have to stay that way. Every building has the potential to be more — to serve life, to give back to the planet, to make people feel good. We just need to raise our standards. Design with purpose and build like our health matters. ParkRoyal Hotel in Singapore is living proof that buildings with souls don’t just look good — they make us feel good. If you agree, help us spread the word that there is a better way to build. Most people just don’t know it yet. BIOTONOMY - Nature Based Architecture #Biotonomy #NatureBasedSolutions #GreenCities

Airports are some of the most wasteful, polluting, and stressful places on Earth —yet we keep building them the same way. But what if an airport could do more than just move people? What if it could reconnect us with nature? Welcome to the world’s first Nature Based Airport, designed by BIOTONOMY — a game-changing step toward sustainable aviation. Why does this matter? Airports consume massive amounts of energy and water, while polluting the air and surrounding environment. Yet, they are designed to be cold, lifeless, and stressful. This one is different. It produces energy, harvests, and recycles water, and It feels like walking through a forest—a one-of-a-kind experience. What makes it different? ✅ Green Infrastructure – Nature Based Solutions are everywhere. Green Roofs and Green Walls keep the airport cool and reduce energy use. ✅ 100% Wastewater Recycling – Every drop of water is reused for nurturing thriving ecosystems. No waste, no pollution. ✅ Powered by Nature – Solar and wind energy keep the airport running with minimal impact. ✅ Wildlife-Friendly – Designed to protect and support nature instead of pushing it away. This is more than an airport - It’s proof that we can build big without destroying nature. A huge thank you to our bold clients and visionary investors who believe in this mission and are making it a reality. This first-of-its-kind airport will be built in the Pacific, setting a new standard for sustainable travel. More details are coming soon—stay tuned. #Biotonomy #Sustainable #NatureBasedSolutions

Green spaces don’t cost money—they save it. Cities keep pouring money into fixing problems they could prevent in the first place. Pollution, extreme heat, stress—these things cost money—a lot of it. The truth is, green spaces aren’t just nice to have—they actually save cities millions over time. Here’s how: ◾ Cleaner Air = Fewer Hospital Visits Polluted air makes people sick. More asthma, lung disease, heart problems. Green spaces filter out pollution, which means fewer people in hospitals and less money spent on healthcare. ◾ Less Noise = Less Stress City noise messes with your sleep, raises stress levels, and even lowers productivity. Green walls absorb sound, making cities quieter and people less stressed—which means fewer mental health issues to deal with. ◾ Cooler Streets = Lower Energy Bills Concrete traps heat. That’s why cities feel like ovens in summer. Plants cool things down, which means less need for air conditioning—saving money for both the city and its people. ◾More Green = Higher Property Value People want to live in beautiful, clean areas. Green spaces increase property value and attract businesses. That means more investment, more jobs, and stronger local economies. Yes, maintaining green walls costs money. But what’s more expensive? Fixing pollution, healthcare costs, and overheating cities later. This isn’t just about looks. It’s about smarter, healthier, and wealthier cities. Would you want your city to think long-term? Then, share this post and inspire your community to take action. BIOTONOMY - Nature Based Architecture #Biotonomy #greencities #greenwalls #NatureBasedSolutions

Cities are failing us. Instead of making us stronger, they make us weaker, sicker, and more disconnected Something feels off. We spend most of our time in cities, yet they make us tired, stressed, and disconnected. Why? Because we’re meant to be surrounded by nature — not just concrete, cars, and screens. Cities today block the natural energy of the Earth. Power lines, Wi-Fi, and buildings keep us apart from the natural world, and our bodies feel the difference. But here’s the good news: We can fix this. Imagine a city designed for human well-being: ◾ Walls covered in lush gardens that clean the air. ◾ Flowing water that calms the mind and brings life. ◾ Green rooftops where people relax and recharge. ◾ Spaces for birds, bees, and wildlife to thrive. This is what we’re building with the Vertical Forest project in Zaragoza, Spain. A city that doesn’t just work—but makes people feel good. And the best part? You can be part of this change. Through our Online Academy, you’ll learn how to design and build nature-powered cities. Want to help shape the future? Join the waiting list today. The buildings we live and work in today depend on old systems that were built for a different time. But the world has changed. Climate disasters are increasing, and our basic needs—like water and power—are at risk. Yet, we still rely on outdated systems: 🔹 Power grids that fail during disasters 🔹 Water systems that waste and pollute 🔹 Sewage networks that harm the environment We can’t keep using the same broken systems and expect different results. It’s time for a new way—Autonomous Buildings. ◾ Buildings that make their own power, provide clean water, and recycle waste. ◾ Buildings that work with nature, not against it. ◾ Buildings that give people control over their own resources. At BIOTONOMY, we’ve been designing self-sufficient buildings for over a decade. These aren’t just ideas—they exist today. By switching to Autonomous Buildings, we create a world that is stronger, healthier, and more independent. The future is not just about survival—it’s about thriving. And it starts with how we build. #Biotonomy #NatureBasedSolutions #Greenbuildings

700 years ago, humans built a clock that told time — with water. Yes! Long before modern clocks, engineers in Alhambra, Spain designed a water-powered time system — one of the most amazing ideas in history. They didn’t use gears, batteries, or electricity. They used gravity, water pressure, and smart design to track time. Here’s the crazy part: ◾ 12 marble lions controlled the water, releasing it in sequence to mark the hours of the day. ◾ It wasn’t just a fountain — it was a functional water clock. ◾ No electricity, no moving parts—just water and physics working together. For the past 15 years, at BIOTONOMY, we’ve been bringing back Nature-Based Solutions to modern buildings. And every time, the results are incredible. The question isn’t whether ancient & nature-based Solutions work — it’s how we can use them today to create better, self-sufficient cities. Like this post?
