This weekend, our team members Chris Tsevis, Quinn Witsken, Christian Nartker, Kyle Stewart, Colin M. Murray, and Regan Hultquist competed in the Project C.U.R.E. Volleyball Tournament. Project C.U.R.E. is an incredible organization that provides essential medical supplies and equipment to hospitals and clinics in developing countries, helping to make quality healthcare more accessible worldwide.   DPO&Co was proud to sponsor this event, contributing not only to a fun and competitive day but also to the life-saving work Project C.U.R.E. does around the globe. Summer at DPO&Co means interns are in the office, spirits are high, and project work is booming. To maximize our summer, we like to get together for bonding activities out of the office. Recently, the team went head-to-head at Escape Room in Chicago for some friendly competition. Despite one team being stacked with a couple of our experienced directors, the intern-majority team took the lead. Good work! We are excited to keep up the good times throughout the month of August and the rest of the year.

Throughout the year, DPO&Co loves getting together for Happy Hours with the team. We were so fortunate to have two of our Indonesia team members, Nadia Angellika Saputri and Patricia Scholastica, join us for one of our most recent Happy Hours. Nadia and Patricia have been in the United States as they complete secondments for two of DPO&Co's platform companies, CCK Automations, LLC and Surplus City. The team has truly enjoyed the opportunity to bond in person after many late-night Teams calls!

Along with our US Annual Working on the Business (AWOTB) retreat in April, the Asia team gathered in Bali in mid-May for our team’s 7th Annual Working AWOTB retreat. The event was filled with insightful management discussions and sharing sessions led by our three pillars: Strategy Consulting, Principal Investing, and Business Process Outsourcing. We dove into client simulation exercises and training on communication, among other topics.  Amidst the learning, we found time to connect over dinners, fun activities like charades, and 'Describe & Draw', where teammates gave and followed drawing instructions without naming the picture, furthering communication skills.     AWOTB sparked additional energy and momentum to fuel our current and future projects. At the end of April, the US team gathered in Puerto Rico for the 2024 Annual Working on Business (AWOTB) retreat. Throughout the event, we discussed short and long-term goals, leveraging key principles and strategies from “Traction: Get a Grip on Your Business” by Gino Wickman. The junior staff participated in various trainings, from proper storyboarding to a crash course on Private Equity, or the “DPO&Co MBA.” The team bonded over glasses of poncho, wings, a pool party, and the first-ever DPO Olympics where we went head-to-head over games like Spikeball, volleyball, and pickleball. We also celebrated some well-earned promotions, bringing together the team for a final dinner. Overall, it was a fantastic few days filled with strategic insights, team bonding, and plenty of fun.
