We're launching a podcast called Learnings at Scale 🤠 To keep things simple, I'm going on a world tour to kick things off 😅 18 interviews in 18 days across 9 cities, 6 countries, and 2 continents. I'll be interviewing some of the worlds most innovative humans across a range of disciplines from tech to non-profit to professional sports, with the goal of sussing out what they've learned while building incredible things. As I write this, I'm caffeinating my way through jet lag in a London WeWork on stop number 3 on the world tour. I just left NYC where I had the pleasure of speaking with Kylo Freeman, Nicholas Thorne, Derek Jackson, and Anis Bennaceur Before that I had the chance to sit down with Jean Dousset, Erik Christiansen, and Charlie Liang on the West Coast. Tomorrow I'll be recording with Besnik Vrellaku and Chintankumar Maisuria and I can't wait to learn about SaaS growth strategies and how they're building Salesflow.io Follow me here and you'll be the first to know when we begin to release these episodes in May! I can't wait to learn together 🚀

If your demo flow does this ONE (common) thing you might be disqualifying millions in ARR 👇 ⚠️ AUTOMATED LEAD SCORING ⚠️ Tl;dr: letting computers disqualify prospects is like duct-taping a chainsaw to your Roomba to automate lawn care. 📹 check out the first half of the video below for more context on this 🌎 stick around for the second half to see a real-world example (from my inbox) P.S., if you liked this, say hello in the comments👇, and if you really liked this, click follow for more ☝️ P.P.S., if you disagree or have a different perspective, I’d especially love to hear from you in the comments! #sales #marketing #saas

Something I wish I had known for the past 3 years most sales follow-ups fail to move deals forward because they don’t show the prospect 👇 💡 That you understand their problem ⏭️ That you know what’s next Usually, because salespeople are busy and can rarely write follow-ups immediately post-meeting. Or because taking good notes manually while being present is difficult. Either way, this costs companies money because a high-quality post-meeting recap can be the difference between a prospect feeling like you understood their problem and can solve it, and a closed-lost opportunity. Solution: AI 🤖 Here’s how I use AI to write recaps (better than a human ever could) 👇 For my notetaker, I use Attention because: 1️⃣ Context. Attention’s team sets up custom prompts during onboarding so their AI understands our business specifically, not just as a representation of ‘marketing agency’ based on what the internet says. 2️⃣ Custom prompts. Who wants to export transcripts from one tool to go write prompts in another? NOT ME! For our email, we’ll use Kyle Coleman's 3x3 framework because: 1️⃣ Kyle is the email 🐐 2️⃣ Shows the prospect we listened + we know where to go next Next, we turn that into a prompt 👇 [see carousel for full prompt, or comment “prompts” and I’ll send you a doc] *Pro-tip: if you’re unsure how to write a good prompt, tell Chat GPT it’s a prompt engineer, tell it what you want to do, and ask it to recommend how to write the prompt. Alternatively, write a prompt quickly, and ask Chat GPT for 3 ways to improve that prompt.* ⌨️ then we drop that prompt into Attention 🔘 click the button 🖨️ make any final edits and hit send ⬇️ Check out the carousel below for a full walkthrough! P.S. comment ‘prompts’, and I’ll send you 2 versions of the prompt we used here P.P.S. if you liked this, say hello in the comments👇, and if you really liked this, click follow for more ☝️ #ai #b2b #sales #salesandmarketing

I'm hiring! We are looking for a Senior Paid Media Manager in #SanJuan, Puerto Rico, to join our team at Opascope™ In this role, you'll work alongside Alex Thilen to: 🔧 Shape digital strategy for leading consumer & B2B brands 🥼 Devise and execute advertising and CRO experiments 🏢 Build an industry-leading paid advertising team 🚀 and much more! What's in it for you? 💸 Competitive compensation. A-players deserve A-player comp. 📈 A dynamic workplace at a company that wants you to grow and succeed 🏖️ Benefits like 20 days PTO, health/dental/vision, retirement + employer match 🚀 +++ a technology stipend, team lunch, summer Fridays, and more! You may be a great fit if you have: ✅ Run profitable paid advertising accounts w/ 50k+ monthly budgets. This is a hands-on role for someone with experience 'pulling the levers' inside ad accounts and iterating on conversion funnels. You should have no problem speaking to multiple examples of active decisions you've made to improve the profitability of advertising strategies. ✅ You're not just a team player, but you thrive in a team setting This is not a role for lone wolves. You'll collaborate closely with your colleagues, clients, and other stakeholders. The ideal candidate is someone who is energized by working shoulder-to-shoulder with a tight-knit team. ✅ You have a beginners mindset and an innate curiosity At Opascope, we solve complex problems for incredible companies. Solving complex problems often means finding solutions to things you've never experienced before. To that end, the ideal candidate says, "I think I can figure that out" much more often than they say "I don't know" ✅ You solve problems in a way that makes colleagues say "WOW" In my first job, I had to make order tickets manually in Excel. Instead, I learned Python and coded a Slackbot that took an order written in natural language and output the file in the format we needed. Easily a 10x improvement, if not 100x. Who the heck wants to do manual work in Excel, right? In the same way, the right candidate for this role isn't someone who takes an assignment and checks a box. You are someone who takes the ball and runs with it, always finding the best way possible to achieve an outcome. Reasons not to apply: ❌ You have not been responsible for paid ad accounts > 50k/mo. ❌ You led strategy but delegated to a media buyer for execution ❌ You do not want to work in an onsite role in San Juan, PR ❌ Solving abstract problems for the first time makes you nervous ❌ You didn't read this far. Bonus pts if you mention this in interview ❌ You hate ping pong p.s., If this role sounds like you but you don't exactly meet the criteria, DM me your pitch. We value outside-the-box thinking, so if you have a unique background or skillset that makes you perfect for the role despite missing some of the requirements, make your case. p.p.s., I'm joking on the last one. We'll still hire you if you don't like ping pong. #sanjuan #puertorico #marketing

🚨 Easy mistake to make w/ #holiday campaigns: start from scratch “There's always value in reusing assets," says Alex Thilen, Opascope’s VP of Digital Strategy. “Especially on social, because they already have lots of social proof that will make them perform better.” His advice: 1. Reuse the best campaigns from last year to ensure you have a strong base. 2. Riff on your top-performing ads to see if you can improve what’s already working. 3. Create new assets to test, but don’t spend too much of your ad budget on new concepts. If new ads work well, you can lean into them. If they don’t, then you can turn them off without hurting your entire campaign. #metaads #googleads #performancemarketing
