Academic writing & publishing coaching for women and non-binary faculty

Sobre nosotros

Scholar’s Voice™ is a professional development company for women and non-binary faculty dedicated to helping scholars center their work around writing and publishing and design a thriving, legacy-building career. Through our programming, we address one of the most critical faculty retention challenges today: retaining top talent in an environment where women and minority academics are stressed, burnt-out, and are more likely to leave academia altogether. We offer virtual and in-person faculty development retreats, group coaching programs, a popular podcast called Academic Writing Amplified, and a how-to book, Making Time To Write (2022) that equip women and non-binary faculty with the mindset and strategies to use writing as a tool to organize their time, their thoughts, and their careers, make space in their calendars that will lead to more writing, more publications, and more impact on their field, understand the value of their voice to the university and to their field, and learn how to amplify that voice and that value. Our unique approach–based on our experience coaching and mentoring hundreds of women and nonbinary faculty members in our career-altering programs–inspires faculty to make the shifts in their day-to-day work lives that leads to greater job satisfaction, less stress, more publications–and better retention. Scholar’s Voice™ is founded by Cathy Mazak, a tenured, full professor who, together with her team of coaches, is dedicated to changing the way that academics leverage writing and publication to create the careers and lives they want through our retreats, courses and group coaching programs.
