We’d like to thank GyroPlant for their recent post and for being an invaluable partner in innovation. At Aquaponics Iberia, we are always striving to improve and refine our cultivation methods, and #GyroCups are a great example of how small changes can lead to significant long-term improvements. 🌱 By replacing our conventional net pots with GyroCups, we’ve already observed healthier and faster root growth, as well as a more efficient and cleaner seedling process. This collaboration is an exciting step forward in advancing sustainable practices. We are continuing to test GyroPlant’s products under various conditions and applications, and they will play a crucial role in the pilot unit of our Smart SWIMS project. This state-of-the-art system integrates IoT sensors, AI-driven analytics, and automation to revolutionize waste management in aquaponics facilities. 🌱 Aquaponics, Technology, and Education: Inspiring the Next Generation 💧 This week, we had the privilege of participating in the "Aquaponia Tecnológica no CEA" event at the Environmental Education Centre of Torres Vedras (Centro de Educação Ambiental de Torres Vedras). The day was filled with excitement as we welcomed groups of secondary and technical school students, sharing the wonders of aquaponics and smart sensor technology. 🎓 What did the day look like? ✔️ Engaging Presentations: Together with our partners at Smart Farm CoLAB, we explored the science behind aquaponics and how smart sensors revolutionize sustainable food production. ✔️ Interactive System Tour: Students had a hands-on experience touring the aquaponics system at CEA, learning about its inner workings and the real-time monitoring capabilities provided by innovative sensors. 🌍 Why it matters: This initiative goes beyond teaching technical concepts. It fosters awareness about sustainability, water management, and innovative food production techniques, empowering students to think critically about how we can meet global challenges.
