    Just like the majority, you may find yourself constantly reaching for your phone. But how on earth can we tackle this challenge? Well, by creating the right facilities and programs that can encourage anyone to take a digital pause on their own terms. Which is the main purpose of DigiPause. In short, an environment that is the opposite of what urban spaces are providing in today's world: a sense of disconnection from our surroundings. And yes, that's why I believe that the social, educational, and tourism ecosystems need to unify to provide a coherent holistic space that will allow people to learn and experience a healthier way to live, one digital pause at a time.     𝗣𝗮𝗿𝘁 𝟮- 𝗔 𝗳𝗲𝘄 𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗲 𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼𝗺 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴𝘀 𝗜’𝘃𝗲 𝗻𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿 𝘁𝗼𝗹𝗱 𝗽𝘂𝗯𝗹𝗶𝗰𝗹𝘆: In 2001, a telepathic exchange with five cats liberated me from 15 years of social anxiety, panic attacks, and agoraphobia, sparking a profound awakening. This transformation launched me into a career as a public speaker and entertainer. My debut occurred on a cruise ship, where I faced thousands of people as an entertainment host. While working in the movie industry, I had the opportunity to be an extra in a Hollywood blockbuster. I also served as a ringmaster for two national circuses and as an assistant for public figures (some of whom remain my mentors). But that's another story! These revelations aren't meant to boast about my personal achievements, but rather to empower those who are ready to make changes in their lives. They also serve to celebrate the non-linear individuals out there who are paving their own paths.     𝘓𝘦𝘴𝘴𝘰𝘯 𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘳𝘯𝘦𝘥: 𝘕𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘳 𝘑𝘶𝘥𝘨𝘦 𝘈 𝘉𝘰𝘰𝘬 𝘣𝘺 𝘐𝘵𝘴 𝘊𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘳 👀 I still don't have a real website, and my online presence is completely off. The series of books that I wrote are still not been edited and released, and my new online program and retreat are up in the air. Is it due to a lack of support, tech skills, or bad karma? It doesn't matter anymore! Because I've come to accept that this whole online thing is not who I am; it's just a facade to support a very fragile avatar trying to fit into the ever-changing world of algorithms. This conclusion comes from my stay in a monastery. Before I arrived there, I was not aware that I was mentally exhausted. I was driven by the idea that I had to spend more time on social media to gain your attention and that of the algorithms, all in the name of helping others by neglecting my own needs. The time I spend there, off from my phone and any form of noise gave me the inner insight that I needed to make the right decisions and give some vacation to my ego. In fact, two of the most important events of the year are simultaneously taking place in less than one week: The Global Day of Unplugging ( I am the director in Portugal) and the tourism market (was supposed to run surveys there) Collaborators I was working with bailed on me at the last minute. In short, I'm not ready; the shit is about to hit the fan, and I'm okay with that. Because it doesn't matter anymore. 🙂 #digitaldetox #mentalhealth #digipause #BTL #GDU

    𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗹𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗼𝗳 𝗺𝘆 𝟳-𝗱𝗮𝘆 𝗱𝗶𝗴𝗶𝘁𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝘁𝗼𝘅 𝗱𝗼𝗽𝗮𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗻 𝗳𝗮𝘀𝘁 𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗺𝗼𝗻𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿𝘆: 👇 The monk mode effect gave me the insight I was looking for to make the right decision and tame my monkey mind. 🐒 Having access to a space of silence was an eye-opener, realizing how much mental noise and distractions were consuming my days. A few decisions came out of this process. For the sake of my mental health, I made the conscious choice to: ✅ Slowly move away from social media. ✅ Stop trying to fix people who are hooked to their screens. It's difficult for a super empath. But what people choose to do with their lives is none of my business! In return, I will mindfully dedicate my time and energy to helping clients who understand the value of my work and are ready to explore how they can develop healthier digital habits. The same applies to any potential collaborators or co-founders interested in joining forces to help develop DigiPause. Always under the same anthem: together we are stronger. As with any new relationship and to help build healthier ones, starting next week, I will reveal every part of my journey and Dharma that led me to become a guide and wellness experience designer.     𝗛𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗮 𝗹𝗮 𝘃𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗮, 𝘀𝗼𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗺𝗲𝗱𝗶𝗮! 📴 At least for the next 7 days. It's time to sober up! Even with a heavy workload to prepare for 2 major events at the end of the month,(the largest tourism market in Portugal and Global Day of Unplugging) I've ironically chosen to pull the plug. For the sake of my mental health and well-being. I'm ready to trade my screen time for the Buddhist lifestyle: Pujas - meditation at 5 am Bedtime at 9 pm And last meal at 12 The most difficult part will be the renunciation. Giving up the phone is easy, but food, that's another thing! What about you? What would you be willing to give up for the sake of your mental health?" Let me know in the comments below.     And the answer is... nature! 😁 A daily dose of vitamin N -ature can work miracles on anyone's organism and help build healthier behaviors. This statement comes from a recovered dopamine screen junkie who witnessed firsthand the power of physical movement, authentic self-expression, connection with others and nature. (The backbone of the @DigiPause Methodology) I experienced it firsthand in the first few days of my back-to-nature personalized digital detox in 2008. The evidence became even clearer during the series of internships I completed a year later in various mental health centers and therapeutic communities for recovering addicts. All patients were seeking the same thing I was: real meaningful connections to replace their addiction. And nature was the ideal canvas to create that miracle. So don't wait for the NHS or the WHO to promote natural solutions to this tech dilemma. Because there are no pills or apps to fix this problem. Only human solutions. Just ask those who were able to take a cold plunge into the real world to witness the instant transformation it had on their entire body. I'm one of them.     Taking regular moment of digital pause is becoming the new essential. Every moment of rest from the ongoing scrolling can reset your entire system. From head to toes. I'm just a dude who was inspired by nature to create what he needed most to survive from it. Don't take my words for granted. Ask any specialists around, they will tell you.     Screens have all of our attention and action. We’re seeing rising cases of myopia amongst kids and increased cases of obesity and diabetes due to decreased movement. If you pop a vitamin each day - also pause to consider how you can block the downsides of excessive unmanaged screentime on your health.
