Sobre nós

We’re Nadara, one of Europe’s largest renewable energy independent power producers. We own and operate more than 200 renewable energy sites across Europe and the US, producing electricity from wind, solar, waste-to-energy, and biomass. Every day, we harness the power of nature for good. The most obvious way is by generating dependable renewable energy, but this is just the beginning. We strive to make a deeper impact, seizing the opportunity to live renewable energy in the decisions we make and actions we take, both big and small. We call this living energy. It sees us connecting with people, contributing to communities, and caring for the natural world. Guided by our values of impact, care and connection we work together to make our global and local impact as positive as possible.

Thanks to our ongoing four-year partnership with the Politecnico di Milano, we had the opportunity last Tuesday to participate in a dedicated interview session with young engineering graduates, recruiting an exciting new group of talented people for the Engineering & Grid team.   With a positive company culture that promotes inclusion, collaboration, flexibility, and career development opportunities, we aim to be a reference point for young graduates taking their first career steps. You can see more of how we are building those foundations by clicking the link: https://lnkd.in/dGibfYfZ   A big thank you to our team - Anna Frangi, Cristina Fiordelisi, Stefano Tizzoni, Gabriele Salcuni, and Silvia Giuliano—for their dedication and hard work in making this day a success!

The Nadara - BlueFloat Energy JV for offshore participated in the Offshore Wind Talent Academy, sponsored by AERO Associazione delle Energie Rinnovabili Offshore and ELIS. The objective of this initiative is to create a pool of specialised and skilled young professionals who can support the development of offshore wind farms in Italy. These sessions covered key aspects of offshore floating wind turbines: - Cutting-edge technology and key strategies in EPCI and project management - Monitoring campaigns for FOW and transforming port infrastructure to support the construction and assembly of floaters and turbines - Flidar technology for meteorological data collection, along with geophysical and geotechnical surveys both off- and onshore - Crucial topics such as safety in offshore wind farms and the authorisation process. This initiative provides invaluable insights for the next generation of professionals, equipping them with the knowledge and skills needed to drive Italy’s offshore wind industry forward, and we’re proud to be part of it.

We're thrilled to have received the Leone d’Oro “Riconoscimento Speciale per Meriti Professionali” award recognising companies that have contributed to growing the Italian economy. Our colleague Gianluca Cipolletta was there to accept this honour on behalf of Nadara. We already have 52 sites across Italy but continue to invest and develop others, including floating offshore wind projects in a joint venture with BlueFloat Energy, and several PV and onshore wind plants across the country. Nadara believes strongly in the Italian renewable energy industry and our ongoing development projects will see us continue to contribute to the growth of the Italian economy and to play a key role in the country’s energy transition. This award celebrates and affirms our commitment to Italy and our dedication to a sustainable energy future.

We’re wrapping up the week with exciting news: we’ve been shortlisted for the Best Engagement Award at the Scottish Green Energy Awards 2024!   Our Sustainable Communities Forum has become a meaningful platform for fostering collaboration between Nadara and the communities surrounding our renewable energy plants across Scotland. By actively listening to and addressing local needs, the Forum provides hands-on learning, networking, and knowledge-sharing, all while promoting sustainable development.   We’re grateful to Scottish Renewables for recognising the positive impact of this initiative. Being shortlisted is a further affirmation of our commitment to driving positive change through renewable energy and community engagement.   Looking forward to the ceremony in December - wishing all the finalists the best of luck!   #SGEA24

Last month, our team gathered in Apulia for a highly productive strategy day, where we exchanged ideas and discussed key strategies for the future. As Toni Volpe, our CEO, said, days like this are "an opportunity to step away from the day-to-day work and into a collaborative atmosphere, hearing valuable insights from others and exploring what our future could look like". We also had the opportunity to visit our ready-to-connect Galatone solar plant, one of the projects we have developed in the region, and an example of our ongoing commitment to renewable energy in Italy. Check out the album below for some of the highlights of the meeting!

Our BlueFloat Energy and Nadara joint ventures have been progressing with key activities across both Italy and the UK.   Last week, Daniele Caruso, PMP®, Project Director at BlueFloat Energy - Nadara JV in Italy, shared valuable insights at the AVENTA conference, “Floating Wind: Shaping Our Future Blue” in Genoa. His presentation highlighted key factors needed to unlock the potential of floating offshore wind in Italy, including regulatory support, proven technology, and a strong local supply chain.   Meanwhile, in the UK, our BlueFloat Energy | Nadara Partnership is proud to sponsor the RenewableUK and Scottish Renewables "Floating Offshore Wind" conference in Aberdeen, starting tomorrow.   #FloatingWind24

We've just launched the 7th UK Support Scheme for Sustainable Energy Studies, with applications open until 11 November 2024. The scheme provides funding to help students and businesses invest in a sustainable future. Last year, we proudly supported seven students near our UK wind farms, helping them cover essential costs. This year, it could be you or your team benefitting from the scheme. If you know someone studying renewable energy or a business looking to enhance their skills in sustainability, share this opportunity. Together, we’re powering the future of renewable energy.

We’re excited to share that we have achieved a five-star rating in the 2024 GRESB Infrastructure Asset Assessment, with an outstanding overall score of 98/100. This achievement reflects the voluntary assessment of 2023 data submitted by Renantis and Ventient Energy before their integration as Nadara.   As Giulia Privitera, our Head of Sustainability and Stakeholder Engagement, said: “This outcome is a testament to the contribution of our people, who are entirely committed to sustainability and live our values of impact, care, and connection.”   To read more about our GRESB final results, visit our website: https://lnkd.in/dcDXetvF

Today, Carmelo Scalone, our Chief Growth Officer, participated in the Italian parliamentary hearings on the “Testo Unico FER” aimed at streamlining and harmonising the current regulatory framework on the development of renewable energy sources.    From his hearing: “We welcome the opportunity to participate in the debate and stress some critical aspects to improve the effectiveness of the measure, such as the need for closer coordination between the Testo Unico, the so-called DM aree idonee and the European legislation: the national discipline on authorisation procedures must be proportionate and necessary and therefore cannot impose restrictions a priori on the installation of RES plants over large areas, nor unjustified changes to the existing rules on ongoing authorisations.”   We are always open to be invited to discuss how we, together with other industry stakeholders and government institutions, can contribute to the energy transition.
