Siddhababa tunnel excavation works nears completion with key Breakthroughs The Siddhababa tunnel project on the Siddhartha Highway has achieved significant progress, with two of the three bypass cross passages completed in September. The 1,126-meter tunnel aims to enhance safety and connectivity between Lumbini, Gandaki, and Tarai regions, replacing a hazardous road section prone to accidents. So far, over 700 meters of the main tunnel have been excavated, with break-through of the main tunnel expected by December. The project, implemented by China State Construction Engineering Corporation, has seen rapid progress in recent months, aided by drilling and blasting techniques. Safety features such as rockfall barriers and separated pedestrian pathways are going to be integrated to ensure secure travel on this vital route, which serves over 5,000 vehicles daily. #pinigroup #smartengineering #joinus
