Rovensa is thrilled to share that the Science Based Targets initiative has validated our near-term GHG reduction targets! We commit to reduce absolute Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions 50% by 2030 from a 2021 base year, aligned with a 1.5°C pathway. Rovensa also commits to reduce absolute Scope 3 GHG emissions from purchased goods and upstream and downstream transportation and distribution by 25% by 2030 from a 2021 base year. Rovensa’s Net Zero Roadmap outlines the actions we will take to achieve our targets. Tackling #ClimateChange requires ambitious action from the corporate sector. Our science-based target proves our commitment to building a sustainable economy, by doing not what is easy but what is necessary. We are thrilled to share our Sustainability Report fiscal year 2022/2023, entitled ‘Towards a Balanced Journey’, disclosing our ESG performance and our efforts to bring greater balance to climate, nature and people. During fiscal year 2022/2023: - We have established a Sustainability Committee. This Committee acts as an advisory body to the Board of Directors, providing expertise on sustainability related matters, contributing to long-term sustainable growth. - Our carbon footprint Scopes 1 and 3 have reduced by 1% and 8%, respectively, compared to our Net Zero baseline year of 2021/2022. In total, our carbon footprint reduction in Scopes 1, 2 and 3 was of 7%. - Our waste production intensity ratio decreased by 9% compared to the previous report, as we incorporate more efficient waste management practices in our operations. This fiscal year, 63% of our waste was recovered (reused, recycled, or recovered for energy). - The Lost Time Injury Frequency Rate (LTIFR) of our Group has decreased by 23% when compared with the previous report, meaning that there were fewer accidents that led to lost time relative to the total hours worked. - In total, our employees achieved 60,326 h of training in 2022/2023, averaging 21h of training per employee. This report highlights the accomplishments of our Group and the areas where we must perform better to meet our goals.
