🌱 We are thrilled to share an exciting update from our ongoing collaboration within the FUTURAGRI project! 🌱 In partnership with the Universidade Lusíada - Norte, Campus Vila Nova de Famalicão and co-financed by the European Union, we have developed a series of 5 tutorial videos. Coordinated by INOVA+, these videos are designed to assist farmers and anyone interested in creating sensors, understanding the entire process, and analyzing data to address practical issues related to agricultural practices. This collaboration, particularly with the COMEGI group at Universidade Lusíada de Vila Nova de Famalicão, has been instrumental. The expertise and advanced technologies provided by the professors and researchers involved have been invaluable in producing these educational resources. 📺 The 5 tutorial videos are now available on the FUTURAGRI YouTube channel. 🌲 Forestry and agroforestry systems cover more than 47% of the Europe's total land area and are a significant part of the continent's landscape, playing a fundamental role also for its ecology and economy. 🌲 🎯 FOREST4EU Project aims to link existing Operational Groups across Europe's countries to ensure that forestry and agroforestry be strengthened to preserve ecological health and to share the knowledge of several different approaches between OGs, to reach the goal of good practices in forestry and agroforestry sector. In order to do that, obtained results have to cross national borders, and this is one of the main challenges of the project! To help reaching the above-mentioned achievements, today FOREST4EU Project took part to #ERIAFF_Annual_Conference_2024 in Seinäjoki, Finland 📍 where our coordinator Francesca Giannetti presented the project focussing on the OGs role supporting forestry and agroforestry in terms of resilience, as it is an important factor for the Common Agricultural Policy (CAP), to be implemented in those countries where it is not provided for this sector. 🤝 Also Antonio Ventre and #ElisabettaGravano from Regione Toscana partecipated at the poster presentation! Last week, Solutopus attended the EU CAP Network conference ‘EIP-AGRI Operational Groups: Innovation in practice’ held in Estoril, Portugal. We represented FOREST4EU Project, engaging with attendees and showcasing our work. On the last day of the event there were several parallel workshops on different topics, including "Facilitating: ensuring a smooth-running Operational Group project" and "Inspiring Operational Groups to collaborate with other innovative projects" both of which Solutopus partook in. Notably, #AnaVentura took the stage to present the FOREST4EU Project during the latter workshop. The conference proved immensely valuable, exceeding our expectations by fostering new ideas and facilitating meaningful connections. It was a fertile ground for innovation and collaboration, leaving us inspired and energized for future endeavors.

🗺 The FOREST4EU interactive map is finally available online! 🌲 One of the first steps for connecting existing Operational Groups around Europe was to select and map them: this work has led to the implementation of the FOREST4EU interactive map, which is now available on the website. 🔍 In the FOREST4EU map, you can find an overview of the main Operational Groups active in project's partner countries, together with a short description and a classification per ITHubs. 👉 The main aim of this map is to cross national borders, and disseminate innovations and best practices of local Operational Groups at the European level. ❔ Want to know more about Operational Groups in Europe?
