🇵🇹 Just like last year, today Startup Portugal and the Portuguese Presidency came together to host a special reception at Palácio de Belém, with President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa welcoming the startups in our #Road2WebSummit program. 🌟 Alongside President Marcelo, we had the pleasure of hearing from key voices from the ecosystem, including Antonio Dias Martins, Executive Director of #StartupPortugal, Paddy Cosgrave, CEO and Founder of #WebSummit, and João Rui Ferreira, Portugal's Secretary of State for Economy. 🎤 Ten startups from the #R2WS program also had the opportunity to pitch their projects. 🙌 A huge thank you to everyone who joined, and especially to President Marcelo Rebelo de Sousa for his inspiring words to our #R2WS entrepreneurs. 📷 Miguel Ribeiro Fernandes

⭐ Our #Road2WebSummit participants have successfully navigated through every stage of our program, culminating in the incredible bootcamps in Lisbon and Porto. Now, these startups are ready to join the Portuguese delegation at the 2024 #WebSummit. 🇵🇹 This year, Portuguese participation has grown by 10%, with many of the 125 projects focused on AI, Medtech, Fintech, and Environmental Tech. 🤩 The second edition of #LispolisIgnite, the LISPOLIS acceleration program, wrapped up on October 30, marking another milestone in supporting innovative startups. 🚀 This edition supported 17 HealthTech startups in partnership with HealthtechLisboa. Through an intensive bootcamp, the teams developed their innovative solutions, culminating in a demo day filled with inspiring pitches. 🏆 Lampsy Health claimed first place, followed by Virtuleap and IMAGI Health. 👏 Congratulations to all the amazing participants and to Lispolis for another amazing event!

🤩 This week, we had our much anticipated #Road2WebSummit bootcamps at BI4ALL in Lisbon and Polo Zero, a space provided by Câmara Municipal do Porto, in Porto! 💡 The agenda was packed with inspiring talks and engaging discussions, all thanks to our partners who provided invaluable insights to our attendees. We covered everything from navigating the Web Summit to a high-energy panel discussion on approaching investors, featuring key players from Indico Capital Partners, Iberis Capital, Armilar, Angel Invest, and Banco Português de Fomento.
