WCQR2025 | Thank you ❤️ After two weeks entirely dedicated to Qualitative Research, we couldn’t be more grateful for how the 9th World Conference on Qualitative Research unfolded, both in person in Kraków and online. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every participant who invested their time and effort to be part of this event, whether by traveling to Kraków or joining us online from different time zones. Your contributions through high-quality presentations, insightful discussions, and a spirit of collaboration and support helped create an enriching and inspiring environment. Speakers at a free webinar will share their knowledge and experiences of conducting #research on sensitive topics. The event, on 6 March 2025, is being organised by NCRM's Health Methodological Special Interest Group. The first speaker, Dr Mat Lucassen, has navigated ethical challenges while working with minors and key stakeholders in mental health, particularly within marginalised groups such as LGBTQ+ young people. Professor Elizabeth Tilley has focused on addressing health and social inequalities faced by individuals with learning disabilities and their families throughout their lives. Together, they will discuss the complexities of researching sensitive subjects, offering valuable insights and practical guidance. This interdisciplinary event welcomes researchers and professionals at all career stages, providing a unique opportunity to ask questions and explore ethical and methodological challenges in greater depth than what is typically covered in published research. The deadline to submit contributions to the Research Methods Rendezvous is Tuesday, 4 March 2025. The two-day, online event will provide attendees with the opportunity to present ideas for new research and develop them with other researchers. It is designed to be a source of inspiration, a research incubator and a networking opportunity for researchers at all career stages. The rendezvous will take place on 10 September and 29 October 2025, with a seven-week interval between the dates providing time to collaborate on the discussed projects. The abstracts cover a wide range of topics, including Artificial Intelligence, thematic analysis, Community-Based Participatory Research, Higher Education, Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis, Nursing Education, Phenomenology, mental health, among others.
