🇰🇿🇶🇦 His Excellency President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev Meets with Power International Holding Leadership to Discuss Major Investment Projects His Excellency President of Kazakhstan, Kassym-Jomart Tokayev, met with Mr. Moutaz Al-Khayyat, Chairman of Power International Holding, and Ramez Al Khayyat, Vice Chairman and CEO of the Holding. The discussions focused on the progress of major investment projects in the energy and telecommunications sectors. Power International Holding is actively engaged in several strategic initiatives in Kazakhstan. Its subsidiary, UCC Holding , will execute energy projects, including the construction of gas processing plants in Kashagan, the second phase of the Beineu-Bozoi-Shymkent gas pipeline, a new compression station, and the main Aktobe-Kostanay gas pipeline. Additionally, Power International Holding is finalizing the acquisition of telecommunications operator MTS, with the deal expected to close by January 2025. This acquisition will significantly enhance the telecommunications infrastructure in the region and strengthen its partnership with Kazakhstan. Organized by GSMA in partnership with Ooredoo Qatar, the conference brought together C-suite executives, state bodies, and tech leaders to exchange insights and shape the future of the industry.   Our Telecom Group CEO, Mikhail Gerchuk, shared his expertise during an expert panel on 5G Monetization, emphasizing the transformative potential of 5G Fixed Wireless Access (FWA): FWA is a true game-changer for 5G monetisation. It provides flexible and easy solutions, delivering great customer experience where traditional fixed-line providers haven't deployed the last mile.
