BY: etimes.inForget the regular idlis and try this super spicy and aromatic Peri Peri Masala Idli, which has the goodness of fresh spice powder and goes well with coconut chutney or ketchup on the side. Take a look:

2 tbsp Kashmiri red chilli powder, 2 tsp red chilli flakes, 2 tsp garlic powder, 2 tsp dried ginger powder, 2 tsp onion powder, 2 tsp mango powder, 2 tsp oregano, 1 tsp black pepper, 2 tsp sugar, and sal to taste

10-15 leftover idlis, 2 tbsp oil, 2 tbsp mustard seeds, 10-12 curry leaves, 2 green chillies.

Add all the spices in a blender jar and blend into a smooth powder.

Your homemade Peri Peri masala is ready. Store it in an airtight container.

Heat oil in a pan. Add mustard seeds and curry leaves. let them crackle.

Add chopped green chillies and sauté well and add the diced idlis.

Add 2-4 tablespoons of Peri Peri masala and mix gently to coat the idis with spices well.
