To all my jazz head friends out there if you have not already heard this I think you need to! A NEW LP by UK band Turning Point from the late 70's. Unreleased tracks from studio sessions that are in my opinion stunning stuff! Jazz In Britain have knocked it out of the park with this release!!

Holdsworth is up there with McLauglin in the jazzrock-fusion pantheon. And like McLaughlin he seems to have had an open mind for eastern spiritual music. This is quite beautiful. Check it out.

A solid "fusion" album that flirts a bit with most of the jazz styles from the 40s on and somewhat heavily with free jazz. Not so much that it's going to have you rummaging through the medicine cabinet for the ibuprofen or that it's going to take you half a dozen listens to get it but just enough to add a pleasant, artsy complexity to things. ...An excellent album by some masterful, experienced musicians.
