Ben creates and oversees the execution of the communications strategy for the Carbon-free Electricity practice at RMI, including earned media, social media, thought leadership, and multi-channel communications designed to advance an affordable and just deployment of clean energy resources at the speed necessary to stave off the worst effects of climate change. His passion encompasses the core messages of this work: That resolving climate change will create a safer, more affordable, more reliable energy system that utilizes both innovative technology and processes; that it can and should address the harms of previous large-scale industrial developments; and that these benefits must be produced with the inclusion of all stakeholders as soon as possible.
Background
Ben previously served on the Environmental Management Commission of Kansas City, Missouri; founded, produced, and hosted a podcast dedicated to intersectional environmental solutions for the Kansas City Metro; worked as an energy consultant for the largest solar power distributor in the state of Missouri; managed the email marketing for the Center for Biological Diversity; and blogged for the Environment Page in the early days of Change.org.
