The research was conducted for AmCham Romania by the University of Bucharest and was launched earlier this month as a call for all responsible stakeholders to take necessary action for reducing this social phenomenon, by addressing both by removing the causes and remedying the effects. 💬”We believe that this message must go to local authorities, to financiers, teachers and, last but not least, to the business community. (…) Last year we analyzed the workforce deficit which indicated that the labor market was tension and an erosion of human capital. Education, in terms of, the quality of the educational act, and access to education in vulnerable communities stood out among the systemic causes of the acute lack of labor force. 🗽 Day #4 of #AmChamMissionUS - New York, NY 🇺🇸 Friday, October 25th was the last day of AmCham Romania's business delegation to the U.S.. For the past week, our delegates travelled to Phoenix, AZ and NYC to find business opportunities on the world's largest most competitive market and we couldn't be prouder of how this week turned out.   On our last day on this mission: ❇️ We met the New York City Economic Development Corporation to learn what the city is doing to attract international business and how our delegates can benefit from the incentives and programs the EDC runs in New York. ❇️ We visited the IBM Innovation Studio New York to learn from Jean-Pierre Lartigue, Vice President, Corporate Strategy about the latest developments in AI and what American corporations are doing to seize the opportunities presented by emerging tech. ❇️ We toured Columbia University with our host, Assistant Dean Adam Kolker, Executive Director for International and Comparative Law Programs - Columbia Law School, and learned about the school's international Executive Programs.   We want to thank Cerasela Baiculescu and Patricia Oprea of IBM for their incredible support and Assistant Dean Kolker for what our delegates described as the grand finale of our #WeekInAmerica. #GlobalExpansion #BusinessDevelopment

🗽 Day 3 of #AmChamMissionUS 🇺🇸- New York, NY  Our delegation landed safely in the city that never sleeps to explore opportunities and learn about business trends in the trade capital of the world.  Here's a highlight of AmCham's delegation first day there: ❇️ The delegates met with the lawyers at Harris Beach Attorneys at Law to learn about immigration & visas, taxation, IP, and cybersecurity and data protection regulations. ❇️ The delegates then met with Romania's Ambassador to the United Nations to talk about UN's cooperation with the private sector and the timing couldn't have been better: October 24th is the United Nations Day and the UN celebrated its 78th anniversary. ❇️ AmCham also stopped by monday.com's U.S. hq to talk about the company's incredible scaling journey and learn how it made it on the New York market and how the city has helped them grow in North America. ❇️ We wrapped up the day with a dinner with Romanian professionals in the NYC Metro area, hosted by UiPath, Inc. at their offices with superb views of the Manhattan skyline. We want to take the opportunity and thank Dana Bucin and her colleagues at Harris Beach, the team at Romania's Permanent Mission to the UN, Tom Ronen, Mihai Faur of UiPath, Simona Vasile, Mihaela Ungureanu and their colleagues and friends in the Romanian community who made yesterday's # NYC program possible! with Camelia Stanciu, Manuel-Iulian Cazac #GlobalExpansion #BusinessDevelopment
