📊 iZi data created the perfect context to look at car drivers in November 2024 and how electric cars are perceived. What did we find? ✅ ADVANTAGES: In general, participants consider that the main advantages of an electric car are: environmental protection (44%, but 48% for women), fuel economy (40%, but 54% among 18-24-year-olds), quiet driving (32%), access to subsidies (25%), or lower maintenance costs (21% but 43% for 18-24-year-olds). Significantly more electric/hybrid car drivers mention advantages such as lower maintenance costs (40% vs. 21% overall), innovative functionalities (32% vs. 18%), and increased safety (33% vs. 16%) than those who drive a gasoline car. 🚨 DISADVANTAGES: On the other hand, perceived disadvantages of an electric car are limited autonomy (53%, but 63% in the case of men), high purchase price (50%), low number of charging stations (49%, but 53% in the case of men), high cost of battery replacement (45%, but 54% in the case of men), battery charging time (44%, but 50% in the case of men). But we also have solutions for these challenges! Among respondents who drive an electric or hybrid car, 47% have an income of over 5000 lei, compared to 35% among those who drive a gasoline or diesel car. This dimension can be correlated with the fact that 20% of those who do not drive are unemployed, significantly more than the other segments. #marketstudy #evdriver #electricvehicle #evcharging #electricmobility
