We recently held a Recycle for Good event in conjunction with our customer, Santander. The two-day event took place at Santander’s Unity Place and was offered to Santander UK employees along with the general public and wider Milton Keynes community. After an impressive turnout, we counted up almost 200 phones, 50 tablets, 75 laptops and 10 desktops – plus hundreds of smaller items including cables, webcams, headphones and mice. Some interesting technology items were handed in – including an Apple Mac desktop from the 1980s! The Recycle for Good scheme encourages our customers to seek out redundant technology items around their homes and use them to help fight the global e-waste challenge. With up to 880 million redundant tech items in the UK, our innovative program helps keep some of this equipment out of landfill and aids in the recovery of precious raw materials. We’re proud to support our customers with their sustainability goals via our Circular Services, helping them take action to maximise the life and value of their legacy equipment. We were proud to be recognised at the recent Credit Matters XIII Conference, a key gathering for financial professionals from across Europe. Attended by our Accounts Receivable team from Hungary we were thrilled to be recognised for our ongoing commitment to developing talent for the second consecutive year, collecting the Credit Talent Development Award. We also collected the Credit Climate Impact Award for our sustainability efforts, and the Credit Leadership Award for our Account Receivable Manager Sebastian Grand for his exceptional leadership and the team’s outstanding performance. At Computacenter we're passionate about nurturing future talent and inspiring the next generation, so we're excited to welcome 18 students from Rhine-Waal University to work with us over the course of their semester and help us shape the future.
