The #Hackathon4Health is the most important health-themed hackathon in Romania, bringing together brilliant minds to drive innovation in healthcare! Organized by the Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy through the Centrul de Inovație și e-Health (CieH-UMFCD), this event is powered by collaborations with the Together for Education and Health Foundation, the US Embassy Bucharest, Romania and AmCham Romania. First launched in 2017 by Johnson & Johnson Romania, this hackathon continues growing as a health innovation beacon. EIT Health InnoStars and the University of Debrecen are organizing i-Days for Life on 11-12 November 2024 at the University of Debrecen, Hungary. i-Days promote health innovation among university students through dozens of one-day and two-day programs held in academic institutions around Europe. Students from all academic areas are introduced to practical health innovation tools and compete in teams to tackle real-life health challenges posed by EIT Health, local organizations, private corporations, or start-ups. The winning team of each i-Day will attend the Winners’ Event, a final competition that unites students from around Europe. Special features of the Debrecen event are the international outreach and the involvement of InnoStars in the organization: the geographical scope includes new countries of interest to the Innostars community (e.g. Bosnia and Herzegovina) and potential Central and Eastern European collaborating partners. i-Days are accessible to all undergraduate and postgraduate students interested in healthcare innovation. You do not need any prerequisite skills or prior experience in innovation, entrepreneurship or healthcare. In an era where healthcare access is more critical than ever, students passionate about #HealthcareInnovation are invited to participate in a unique two-day hackathon focused on addressing one of the most pressing global issues: healthcare access for refugees and migrants. This event, organized by FreshBlood HealthTech, HIVE Innovation and Multilingualism in mental health care to migrants, will take place on October 25-26, 2024, at Str. Avram Iancu 13, First Floor, Cluj-Napoca. Students from various academic backgrounds will collaborate, brainstorm, and prototype innovative solutions to improve healthcare services for displaced communities facing severe health challenges. Participants will work in teams under the guidance of experienced mentors, including healthcare professionals and experts in migrant health. These mentors will offer valuable insights and feedback, ensuring that the solutions developed are innovative and grounded in real-world applicability. This hackathon is part of the larger i-Days initiative, promoting health innovation among European university students. Through one- and two-day programs, students are introduced to practical health innovation tools and encouraged to develop solutions to real-world health challenges.
